The hotel was in a fantastic location as it is within walking distance to historical Philadelphia. The front desk staff were helpful but maybe not too knowledgeable when we asked questions. The room was clean, but the windows filthy. The parking garage was dark and scary, although we did like the convenience. It was priced appropriately. The breakfast was horrible. There are lots of cafes nearby with awesome and delicious breakfast choices.

The biggest concern was the lack of communication during an evacuation. One evening, the fire alarm sounded, and guests were directed by a recorded message to evacuate. However, no staff members were outside providing instructions or updates while guests stood in the rain. During the evacuation, one guest slipped and fell on the wet property. The fire department arrived and resolved the situation quickly, but we then had to ask staff to let us back on the elevators to return to our rooms. I was also concerned about security. I watched a homeless individual remain in the lobby for an extended period, rummage through a box of recycled uniforms, use the guest restroom, pick up a vacuum cleaner, and wander around before leaving it by the exit. He also appeared to be watching unattended guest luggage. Front desk staff seemed aware of him but did not intervene, and I never saw any visible security personnel. Overall, the staff was courteous and the room was clean, but the hotel's communication and security need improvement.

Then, with four people and two double beds, they initially gave us three towels and three washcloths. I had to go down myself to get more, which took 15 minutes and was met with a crappy attitude. The next day, they cleaned the room and gave us two towels but no washcloths. When I called down, they said they would bring some up but never did. This place is absolutely horrible. Do not stay here. It’s too bad because it’s centrally located near everything.

This place was great. Located so close to all the old Philadelphia, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, couldn't have picked a better place and the price was right.

Old noisy AC unit, people smoking pot and drinking at the pool, room wasnt made daily, long wait for helpdesk, we expected more. Good location.

Lobby and Room was clean. Staff was polite and very helpful

Very centrally located

There was one staff member (concierge?) we appreciated for two good recommendations for local places to eat. $200 more expensive each day and only having location as a justification. Understaffed with people who were responsive but not engaging or willing to volunteer information. My sense was entire experience at hotel was example of efficient, effective but never engaging.

The Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District is a very nice hotel and the location is amazing if you are visiting to see the historic locations in this area. Many to see within just a few minutes walk. There are also many restaurants, bars and bakeries in the immediate area around the hotel. The hotel is well kept and well-appointed with a parking garage attached (parking costs extra). The price was very reasonable considering the location and the amenities. I would recommend this hotel to those visiting Philadelphia for the historic district.

Dining in hotel was a disappointment from a buffet only breakfast to dining options lacking inspiration. On a happier note the waiter was very good.

Place needs a total renovation. First room that I was given smelled like urine. Place needs help!

The location is perfect , especially if you like American history . Next to all the sight seeing stuff and easy access to the subway to get around. The staff was super friendly and helpful trying to figure out the best way to get to the game . The mattresses were comfortable The property is older and is due for a complete overhaul, especially the pool and bathrooms. Bothe rooms we had had paint peeling in the actual tub.
