This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the property super cute, the staff are so helpful and friendly. This hotel also is within walking distance of almost everything. Don’t skip on the French restaurant next door!

All around great stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Very cool old building. Plan to stay there again.
-
great , old period style property , nice change from corporate type hotels, character and charm.

Location (steps away from Independence Park) and historic nature of property. Our room was handsome , large and comfortable. We received a warm welcome from Jerry. Staff was helpful and available throughout our stay. Breakfast was a dissapointment. Limited choice and not good quality. Given the price of the room , we expected much better.

Jerry was particularly helpful in answering questions regarding the order in which to see sites and what not to miss. This was our first visit to Philadelphia and we absolutely loved it.

The is a cute, quaint hotel with a lot of nostalgia. The rooms are very spacious, comfy beds with plenty of pillows. The location was perfect, we walked around til after 11:00 pm & felt safe. Staff was wonderful. My only comment was we were on the 3rd floor, which was “ok” for us mid 50’s. But if you have bad knees, etc I would make sure to get a room on the lower floor. Parking garage is right across from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again…

Such character, and really nice helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delightful too.

is elegant, warm, and very well maintained. Our room was spacious and carefully outfitted with a mixture of stately antiques and later pieces. The breakfast was truly a surprise with an extensive variety of food and drink. We certainly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again. It could not have been better.

Staff was knowledgeable with history and local information, great location.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. So historic and beautiful. Great breakfast

Morris House is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room and hotel itself were very clean. Room service was offered daily. They don’t have an elevator, but they help with carrying luggage to upper floors. I did eventually get used to the stairs - they are steep and long. Breakfast is continental with the same options daily. The fruit was fresh and the muffins were tasty. They have a large tea selection for us tea lovers. While a parking garage is literally across the street, it is a little cumbersome to get your luggage from the garage to the hotel. I didn’t know at the time, but you can pull up to the hotel to unload and then park in the garage. I did not know the parking didn’t have in and out privileges, so the parking is expensive and inconvenient given the price point. The location is convenient to many of the attractions and historical sites in old city and city center. I was able to walk to all of those.

Beautiful place to stay in historic district. Walkable to shops, restaurants sites

We had a king suite which was very affordable. Great location, great hotel. Loved the entire atmosphere. Very quaint and quiet. Staff was very professional and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
-
Clean, historic building in a great neighborhood. Room was cramped. Breakfast was SO basic. There was more variety at the Holiday Inn! The front desk staff gave incorrect info about the parking costs.
-
Our particular third floor room had a double door (to bath first, then into room) and the inner door did not latch (due to settling of the historic home). If it latched, there would have been better sound-proofing.
-
Nice place for a wedding. Beautiful courtyard. In the carriage house, would have preferred less updating.
-
The water pressure in the shower was great and the water temperature was more than hot. The bed was comfortable the coffee and breakfast were fine, they provided umbrellas for the rain. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was almost non existent. The price was high.

In the Historic District of Philadelphia there is no other place my wife and I would stay. This was our second time and won’t be the last. R&R

Dislikes: No parking, and city parking is expensive although convenient.
