I had many problems with my delivery purchase and the staff was so unhelpful and unkind. Horrible experience

Would not stay here again. Room

Staff was mostly pleasant. Very old building that needs updating. Bathroom has been updated, but the rest needs help. Window a/c unit is noisy. Tiny, tiny elevator. No luggage carts available. When asked about them, told they wouldn’t fit in the elevator. You have to walk through the breakfast area to get in and out of the building and it’s tight. Closest available parking is at a garage across the street. Key card doesn’t work at front door. Have to be buzzed in.

I loved this place! There are not a lot of luxuries and the rooms are plain, so if you like things to be "modern," you won't like it. But it is clean and quiet and the location is excellent--right in the walkable heart of the city, with all museums, theatres and attractions easily acccessible. The building is old, so there are creaky floors and cramped hallways. The elevator is tiny. But the place reminded me (in a good way) of my first apartment--cozy, quiet, safe and a little worn. If I go back to Philly I would stay there again.

Excelent

Greta locations for local site seeing spots!

The room was impeccably clean, had soft pillows, comfortable mattresses and a quality TV. The staff were freindly and efficient. The AC was very cold, but a little noisy, my only complaint.

Very disappointed with the hotel and Expedia. Expedia accuracy of information was misleading.

Complimentary breakfast was nice but not enough seating for our family plus other guests. We were standing on top of each other most of the time. I understand that people usually only sleep in the room and don't spend a lot of time there, but it ended up raining one day so we spent a few extra hours in the hotel room before going to dinner. I was so grossed out by the bathroom that we chose not to shower while we were there. I will say that the staff tried to accommodate us as best they could. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It's not worth the extra money in your pocket.

It’s just as the other reviews, excellent location, nice and helpful staff and great rates. We could walk to the convention center and to Independence Hall area. 5 min walk to the subway stop too. Breakfast was great and nice and quiet guests staying there.

I stayed there for one night. The location was fine for the price, but the place itself was quite poor. It definitely needs a full renovation - everything feels very old and run down. I wouldn't stay again until it's updated.

Stay was ok for the location

I loved the stay

Nice welcome by staff. Building is old but room was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was nice. Great location.

Would not stay again. Hotel was dirty, and felt unsafe from location to door locks. Overpriced for the low quality received. Odd smell in room, itchy sheets, lumpy pillow. Uneven floors.

We arrived at 10pm on our day of check-in after a horrible travel day and ended up checking out two days early first thing the next morning and booking a different hotel. Floors are uneven, paint and wallpaper is literally falling off the walls, surfaces in the room looked like they haven’t been wiped down ever, and mystery stain on the bed?? The worst part was the AC— it’s the loudest unit I’ve ever encountered and woke us up all night every time I started again. Do not recommend.

Location

Great staff very friendly and helpful. The building is older so floors need some work. Great location

The cleanliness is terrible, the smell in the room is unbearable, and the noise from the air conditioner keeps you from sleeping. The front desk staff think you're staying there without paying.

I’ve never felt so unsafe in my life. My friend and I literally went home at 2 am because the front desk fully let a man walk in that wasn’t even staying in the hotel. He was just standing outside like a block away, started following up, walked in after us even though the door closed because you didn’t have to scan to get in. All the front desk did when they didn’t recognize him was ask what room he was in, he said a random number and then took the elevator which also didn’t require a scan to get in. We’re like okay we’re going to hang out maybe door dash something or go grab something from a corner store. When we come back, he’s eating food he doordashed in the lobby, literally waiting for us. Absolutely zero security, I’ve genuinely never feared for my safety like that. The staff did nothing, didn’t ask if we were okay, didn’t ask him for id or even a room card.
