If you enjoy paying $750 to stand in a crowded lobby with strangers who are just as furious as you are, book here. I arrived at 3:30 for a guaranteed 4pm check-in. “Guaranteed” turned out to mean nothing. No room, no timeline, no answers — just vague shrugs from a front desk that seemed as clueless as the guests. Three hours passed. Three. The lobby filled up with other paying customers stuck in the exact same limbo, all of us doing the math on how much of our Saturday this hotel was quietly stealing from us. Eventually I stopped waiting for a hotel that couldn’t tell me if it actually had a room, and asked for my money back. That part, at least, was easy — which almost makes it worse. They can process a refund in minutes but can’t turn over a room in three hours. Then came valet, where retrieving my own car turned into its own endurance test. By that point I wasn’t surprised. The dysfunction wasn’t isolated to one desk — it ran through the whole building. This is a “five-star” hotel that can’t handle Saturday check-ins without collapsing into chaos. Charge less or staff properly — right now you’re doing neither.

Great location beautiful great rooms bartender was a great mixologist

I dined in the restaurant and was underwhelmed by the food. I think for that price point there are plenty of other options nearby that I could have found to have been better.

The hotel is gorgeous and the amenities are amazing. Just be prepared to pay $73 per day for valet parking.

The W Philadelphia has a beautiful ambience. Stunning lobby and the building on every floor smells amazing. The pool was the star. Offering an inviting experience with vibrant green colors and multiple seating options available. The in room dining coffee 10/10. I appreciate the room already being stocked with beverages and snacks for convenience of purchase. Concierge and Valet staff as well as front desk staff were welcoming. The bed was not pleasant very hard. Pillows were a little too big for my comfort. The shower head was ok and no cold water for a cool shower.

Great property in the center of everything. The hotel was spotless and was very accommodating to all of my needs. It’s easy to walk to all of the sites or use public transit which is a block away. This is one of the best options for staying in Philadelphia.

Our room layout was awful. Instead of the TV being in front of the bed, it was placed on the left side of it, and we couldn't watch TV that way. And I paid extra for a "higher" floor room, but in this hotel the rooms start on the 30th floor anyhow. They just ripped me off.
