Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Downtown

The lobby was extremely hot…AC was not working properly. We observed several people at the front desk complaining that their rooms were hot. Luckily, our room was comfortable. The hallways were musty and the floors creaked…carpet over old floors. It was fine for one night and we liked the convenience of walking to PNC Park.

We booked a room with a king bed, when we were checking in they had us in a room with two queens. I showed the person at the front desk my reservation and she did change us to a room with a king bed. The room was very small and in need of updating. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and probably one of the worst I've ever slept on. The breakfast at the bistro in the hotel lobby was terrible. You're better off walking there blocks down and getting something at the 7-11.

They gave us wrong room two queens bed instead of one king bed as requested then they switch us to one king bed room , the room old very small put that aside AC unit was very noisy rattling all night I will never stay at this hotel again I thought Marriott hotels hold some standards but I was wrong.

The location was perfect and the lobby areas were great. The bathroom was our main complaint. The grout in the shower needs attention and was gross - it was either dirt or mold, neither of which are desirable. The staff offered us some free snacks as a result but couldn’t move us because they were sold out. The room was small but fine. Would not stay again based solely on the bathroom.

Great location and nice staff.

Our room wasn't ready on time but they were great about storing our luggage while we waited, including some refrigerated items we had for our child. Great location too!

Bed was comfortable but the room was nothing special. Staff ranged from nice to totally incompetent. Blueberry muffin+1 banana = $10.

Everything was good except the different soaps in shower were empty

Close to a selection of dining. Walkable to PNC Park.

Aside from the hotel itself, the location was fantastic: walking distance from many restaurants, coffee shops, sports venues, and the gorgeous bridges. It was super easy to reach other parts of Pittsburgh as well. Highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in PGH!

Arrived at

It was exceptionally clean and I found Pittsburgh to be relatively easy to navigate. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the property.

Our check-in time was supposed to be 3pm. It was after 5pm till our room was ready for us to check-in. The manager comped us points on my account which I did appreciate. The floor in our room did not appear to have been swept. There was a young lady at the front desk that was not at all pleasant. When we approached her requesting additional towels she appeared annoyed and told us they would be brought up if any became available. Overall, disappointing experience.
