Omni William Penn Hotel

Loved the property! Beautiful throughout with the luxury look of the Prohibition Era. We could walk through downtown Pittsburgh to a variety of cultural enrich events and restaurants, walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge to the Pittsburgh Pirate Stadium, and watch the boats float by on the 3 Rivers! Rooms were spacious and well maintained. The only negative review would be the bathroom size and also the bathrooms do need updated!

Good but high price Over $30 for a breakfast buffet? Next time we’ll eat somewhere else.

The lobby is classically beautiful. The staff friendly and professional. The cafe is convenient for a coffee to go. Great location. Parking across the street. Speakeasy is great. The rooms need a refresh. The chairs in our room were stained and the carpet was old and needs to be replaced or cleaned.

The Omni is a beautiful, historical hotel. From the moment you walk in, you are awestruck. The front desk staff were so friendly and the coffee shop had freshly brewed espresso. We parked our car at the Mellon garage 1 block over and it was very easy to get to the hotel. My only complaint about parking is that the sign says "max weekend rate $8/day" however the "days" end at 5am so you will be charged 2 days if you take your car out after that. The pillows in the room were very thin so bring your own if you can. Also, the fabric shower liner soaks up the water and dumps it onto the floor outside of the shower, so don't put anything. Anything you don't want to get wet right outside. Our room smelled gray and was very clean, But there was a running water noise that happened continuously throughout the night that I think was the toilet constantly cycling and I'm not sure why. Other than that our stay was amazing!

Our stay was outstanding and the staff, property, and food was awesome. I loved the history of this hotel and I definitely would stay here again!!

Decided to splurge and stay at the Omni. What a wonderful experience. Old world glamour. Well maintained. Excellent hospitality- including "free drink" at any of their bars. Free Wifi Very comfortable beds (though full size), great size to the room, beautiful view from of historic church from our 15th floor windows, great water pressure in the shower even on the 15th floor, and the water warming up quickly. The T train station is across the street- which was perfect to get to the stadium. $8/day public parking available right across the street- much cheaper than $59 valet (but we didn't go in and out).

I had a great time in Pittsburgh, PA. It was my first time staying at the Omni Hotel and it was a great experience. I recommend it if you want conform, and a great experience this is the place to stay.

Superb

This historic hotel is absolutely beautiful. Rooms were well-appointed, and beds were comfortable. We never had to wait for an elevator b/c there were so many. The hotel's location is great and an easy walk to North Shore. Park across the street at the underground garage instead of the more expensive valet.

The pictures of the Premier King room are different on Expedia. They make it seem like you are getting a room with a couch and you do not. The hotel would do nothing about this even though I had the pictures I was given when getting the room through Expedia.

Loved this hotel. It was very clean and the beds were cozy. I loved that there was a magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom.

Elegant property! Plenty of elevators and comfortable rooms. Good location in downtown Pittsburgh: Mellon Park garage place for the car.

Amazing from valet to room

The location of the hotel is excellent. I see a bit of a problem that the hotel presents itself as a 4star+ but in reality it is an older hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The noise from other rooms is minimal, but from the street it is more intense. What was inconvenient for me was turning on the lighting, where each lamp has to be turned off and on separately. Clean towels and replenished cosmetics every day. Paid WIFI. I was unable to get to the free wifi in the hotel after registration. The restaurant is better than average, but good breakfast and friendly staff. The cafe in the hotel is very pleasant with a wide selection. Paid WIFI. The William Penn is an excellent hotel. The only problem during my stay was that the WiFi did not function properly for the first 36 hours. The hotel is beautiful. Highly recommend.
