DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown

I didn't have any major problems with my room I couldn't solve by going to speak to the front desk. But items such as: Not having a refrigerator, telephone not working were bit of an annoyance since those are some amenities that "should" be prepared upon check in. Whether or not "remodeling" was part of the problem ( as what I was told ), I just felt my room was a little unprepared, but nothing I couldn't work with. Overall, I'd give my experience about a 7/10.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable; Although my room was near the elevator and ice machine, there was very little noticeable noise. Over the weekend, nearby on-street parking can be found. The T station is right across the street and is very convenient to get to/from Pirates & Steelers games. Short walk to Duquesne University. Short walk to various restaurants.

Also visiting baseball fans: It’s a two minute walk across the street to the train which takes you free right outside PNC. Can’t beat that. The pool is very cool looking. Better than most out there. But it needs to be maintained better. The tiles around it need to be scrubbed down as does the wall around the pool itself. There is a panel on one of the glass roof gondolas that is cracked pretty bad. Highly recommend an air blower running to keep standing water from forming. It’s a good pool that would be great with a bit more maintenance. The bathroom was an issue too. The shower had no slip proof decals or a mat and it was like showering standing on wet ice or glass. Very slippery. The exhaust fan needs maintenance. The ice machine on our floor was really dirty with something splattered on it. That’s a super quick fix. To be fair we didn’t report that and if we had I’m sure it would have been tended to quickly with that amazing staff! Parking was perfect! Valet great. Affordable pricing. The staff was so helpful and the location so perfect it’s hard not to want to return. Thank you again for making this stay enjoyable.

I love how centrally located it is. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The only issue that we had was that there was not a refrigerator in the room. I honestly don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that did not have one.

Location was fantastic for going to a concert at PPG. The bathroom was awkwardly small. The sink should have been outside the bathroom where they had a counter for hair/make up. Wasted space where desk was.

We were in town for a Penguins game. Hotel was in a perfect location. Walkable to everything.

The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. The location was excellent.

Great experience. Would definitely book here again. Parking was easy as well. There was valet or off-property parking, we opted to park in the public parking. Lots of spots, $12 a day.

This hotel is not right in the center of downtown, but it is a pretty easy walk to most areas of interest and right across the street from underground transit which was convenient. Would definitely stay there again.

Clean room and helpful staff at the front desk and cleaning service. Very convenient to have the 7/11 attached go the hotel.

Great location! Only negative was the awkwardly shaped bathroom, a larger person wouldn’t have been able to use the door easily.
