Exceptional

Stayed for 2 nights and overall had a great experience. The room was very spacious and updated, the staff was very kind, and the amenities were nice to have, althoigh we definitely underutilized them. Only complaint was that both days, the new towels left for us by housekeeping as part of daily cleaning were dirty (pretty obviously, not just a stray hair or something), but the front desk staff gave us new ones and solved the problem

Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Good location- near various food and coffee locations but a lot of things do close early. If you love an exercise session in your room, there is yoga and strength training equipment available for use in your room. The only complaints about the property and so minor but I will mention so you know- the rooms are all on one giant floor with a few different twists and turns so if your room is on the other side, it does take a hot second to get there. Also, they do offer daily housekeeping, you just have to call every day and request it. We only ate one meal at the property and got the flatbread pizzas. They were ok but did take a while to get out to go order. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Room and hotel were great, but the surrounding areas were not. Heard screaming/yelling from outside most nights! But the hotel staff are helpful and kind, rooms were clean and hotel itself felt very safe.

Ice machine was not working on our fifth floor room; fortunately, merely a few extra minutes on elevator to floor six for ice.

Beds should 24 inches high for manual wheelchairs and 36inches for electric wheelchairs. The bathroom door should be on the opposite side of the shower. The bench is great but should a bit off the wall for being able to move around to wash hair that was a bit difficult to do with the bench right against the wall. Also the soap and shampoo should not be mounted as I could not reach very well. Also could not reach to wash my hands with the soap being mounted. The grab bars were useful to balance because I had to hang on to get soap on my other hand because of the mounted shampoo and body wash. Also water got all over the bathroom floor so needs to be a better way to drain water so it doesn’t spill onto the floor. Also we had to ask 3 times for daily housekeeping and still we never got our sheets changed or trash being taken out or dirty towels being picked up. Had to go to registration to get more towels and wash cloths. Tv should also be bigger and more channels and added apps like Netflix so if someone doesn’t want to watch tv there’s more options that definitely needs to be updated. The food was decent for breakfast. Everything we needed was close by and parking was only $29 a day with in/out privileges which is nice. Downtown is super nice. The stay in of itself was nice.

location location location

I was excited to stay in this location because of it's historical roots. My grandmother worked in this building for many years, and I worked there for about a year. I couldn't wait to see the transformation into a hotel. After a long wait for an elevator, I finally arrived at the fifth floor entrance and was warmly greeted. Throughout my stay, I received excellent customer service. When I was able to reach my room, after another wait for an elevator, I was pleased. Even with a nice sized gym, the workout equipment in the room was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and there were a good number of outlets to plug in. There is a garage next to the building where you can park for about $30 a night. However, since I arrived back at the hotel quite late each night and had to report to conference activities early in the morning, I luckily found street parking right near the entrance to the garage that worked. Overall my stay was fine, and if you're in town for something taking place in downtown Pittsburgh, the location is very convenient. I was disappointed in the fact that there was only one working elevator, and with only two floors for the hotel, the elevator wait time was frustrating at times because of my very tight schedule. In addition, I was surprised to find the quality of the towels I was provided was quite poor. One had stains and the other was tattered. I left them on the floor the first night to be replaced, but came back to discover them still there that night. I know many hotels are being eco-friendly and have different policies about cleaning rooms and changing linens during stays, but it was clear no one came in my room to do any cleaning, even though I did not indicate I did not want any service during my stay. If this is a policy for certain lengths of stay, then I missed signage in my room. This also makes me wonder about the price of my stay with no cleaning or breakfast included.

Close to everything we wanted to do Only have one elevator very long wait. It was hot in downstairs waiting for elevator and it was hot in lobby. Never brought clean towels or picked up garbage. Not enough cans for our garbage
