One staff member at reception desk to accommodate all guests. Where was staff??? The lobby was full with guests waiting to check in. Staff member at the desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Never overwhelmed. After finally checking in, we proceeded to our room. Upon entering the room, it gave an instant “newly abandoned” vibe. The air was musty. The room had an odor of old cigarette smoke and wet dust. The decor screams early 2000’s. The lone desk attendant was willing to accommodate us with another room but we kindly declined. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.

Great location and room. Staff was great!
-
The staff was incredibly helpful and gracious at every turn. There was a mechanical issue in our original room and the front desk was very quick and responsive to get the situation fixed. They even gave us some drink vouchers and breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience. Top-notch service.

Stayed 3 nights; this hotel does not meet Hilton Curio standards. The issues may be tied to insufficient staffing. Room was not cleaned after the 1st night. We had to go to front desk to get towels and toilet paper, and learned maids are “under a tight schedule.” So because I told maid we wouldn’t be leaving room for 30 minutes, this merited no cleaning? The restaurant was on 2 levels, with the kitchen on the lower level and only the tables on the upper level set. The poor server, who was also the bartender, had to keep getting food downstairs and walking it upstairs to diners. I can’t blame her for the slow service! We found a very cool part of the lobby with a library of interesting books and records to check out, but the front desk never mentioned this. The front desk is not very service-oriented. Don’t stay at this hotel, even if you are going to see a Pirates game.

Comfy beds, lots of pillows, clean bathroom, convenient location. The only parking is valet at $45, certainly overpriced.

The bartender Russ was phenomenal. The service at the front desk was excellent.

Room was just what I needed for my stay as a solo traveler. It felt posh but I didn’t feel like I was spending at that price point, which is always a plus. The location is incredible and makes just about anywhere in the downtown area within a 15-20 minute walk.
-
Super clean modern room, friendly staff, the lobby layouts a little funky, but I figured it out pretty quickly. Places in walking distance to many amenities.

We were lucky to have had great weather and loved that we were so close to Juneteenth celebrations…it’s like we dove down from the rooftop and partook in the downtown festivities

The rooms were clean; breakfast is not included but they do have a restaurant and bar downstairs. the aesthetic of the main lobby is really nice. The only things I'd say I didn't like is the fact that thereis not a microwave in the rooms and no pool there either. To me there has to be one or the other; if there is no pool at least put microwaves in the room. You have to go all the way down to the lobby to warm up your food.

Most importantly, the AC was broken and the room was 78 degrees all night. The front desk staff said there was nothing they could do. They instructed my husband to remove the wall panel for the HVAC system and try to re-set the unit. It did not work. Also, we were only given 1 washcloth. The front desk asked us to come down to get more. We shared that we had just gotten back for the evening and had undressed already, so she brought them up. We were only there for 1 night, so we stuck it out, but for the money we paid, our experience was not commensurate.

Great

The hotel is located close to many city/state office buildings, but when those people go home for the day, the area gets quite deserted and eerie, and the main attractions are about a 15-minute walk away. Once inside, however, the staff were very professional and helpful, and my room was spotless. That said, my room did not have an exterior view but rather one of the airshaft, which was not disclosed at booking. The layout of the room was also odd, as the light from the hallway as seen at the bottom of the door was visible from my sleeping position, so bring an eye mask just in case if you're staying here. The K-cup machine was a nice touch in the room, and there are lots of places nearby to get a quick and inexpensive breakfast, but most of these places are not open on weekends as they cater to the people who work downtown. Overall, the experience at the hotel was very good, but if you want to be closer to where the action is, there are more places in the city.

No complaints, short stay. Staff was helpful, room was clean

The hotel was great. Easy to get to everything downtown. Staff was very friendly and outgoing, and willing to give recommendations and offer help. Cleaning staff was excellent and went above and beyond to tidy up and make sure we had what we needed every day of our stay. Everything was clean. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, Kimberly at the front desk provided outstanding customer service. She was warm, professional, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and provided a pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit. Every interaction with the staff was positive, and the level of hospitality exceeded my expectations. Kimberly's attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly made a difference. She is a tremendous asset to the hotel and deserves recognition for her excellent service. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.
