Motel 6 Pooler, GA - Savannah Airport

My husband and I love staying at motel 6, especially with our two dogs. Because of the price of the room, I already assumed that I would not be in the best neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the neighborhood was actually pretty decent with an awesome authentic pizza place right down the street. However, The vibe at the motel was a little off. There were a lot of people just hanging out walking around outside watching everything we did. When I volunteered later that night to take our dogs out to the bathroom my husband said absolutely not and would not let me go out by myself. It's the kind of place that will make you double check that your car doors are locked. I would definitely never stay there by myself, but with my husband I felt okay. The room was surprisingly clean and very nice looking, possibly newly remodeled.

Broken bed, weed everywhere, looked like an outdoor party, no hot water, tv didn’t work. I just left.

Parking was free. No real pet areas, although it was a pet friendly hotel, with pets. Staying free. I had to walk across the parking lot to get to a little area behind the waffle House with grass at 2:00 and 6:00 in the morning. Both times there were people in the parking lot, which didn't make me feel real secure. The toilet had a circular seat on an elongated commode. The refrigerator rocked back and forth as it was not leveled, I had to fight a roach to go to the bathroom at 4:00 in the morning. The mirror was filthy. The tub did not drain well. Pubic hair in tub. Not mine... The best part of this whole place was the front desk clerk at check-in. She was fabulous. I would not go back.

…the lady said “well my boss is going to want to see pictures so when you kill the roaches just leave them on the floor and take a picture”…excuse me WHATTTTT???? Wouldn’t recommend this to a DOG! Ew never again!

Room was clean apon arrival. I didn't realize they don't clean rooms daily. Toilet seat was worn, chipped and toilet rocked sideways. The property appeared to have some extended stay partons there. Boats and trailers in the parking lot that seemed to be there awhile. Paint and repairs to walls and door frames were very poorly repaired and very noticeable. No chair beside a plastic desk chair though there was plenty of space for a side chair and at least a small table and lamp to relax in. No clothing chest or dresser. Microwave sits on frig. That makes using it awkward not having even a small counter. Outside the door on the ground was trash and condoms! It was embarrassing that I rented this room for 3 days for a new employee. Had he sent me pictures then I would have called Expedia to change hotels. Very disappointed! This is the first time having this type of situation booking through Expedia. I saw another review about dogs being abundant. Love dogs! But I see they don't even charge for pets. It does require more cleaning cost to have pets in a room. My employee said they didn't take a card to hold for damages. I thought that was strange. If you just need a night cheap and don't care...stay here.

Was a nice stay

There were young children running around the parking lot when we arrived around midnight and we later discovered that they were the hotel manager's family members. When we got to the front desk, no one was there but a man sitting in the lobby told us it was the manager's birthday and she was in a hotel room having a party and would return shortly. When the manager returned, she was in her pajamas carrying 3 bottles of wine. She barely said 2 sentences to me and left it up to me to figure out my room number written on the room card. At first glance, the room appeared decent for one night but the room wreaked of cigarette smoke. The bathroom included a stained painted toilet seat, painted and peeling bathtub, painted and peeling sink and counter. Unfortunately, there were roaches crawling around after the lights went out and the night stand hadn't been cleaned because it was sticky and not able to be used. After driving many hours we need a night's sleep to continue our 14 hour drive and this was a definite bad choice to stay here. I WOULD NOT recommend this place and I don't generally write bad reviews but this was too much.
