La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Portland DT/Maine Med

Exceptional

Location was good; close to downtown, but not walkable. Room was clean; public areas did not feel as clean. Breakfast options were fine but not extensive, and the same both days we were there. Had to pay for parking, which was a surprise.

It was raining during the night of September 27, 2026. At about 12:30am (shortly after midnight) we woke up to the sound of dripping. The roof was leaking onto my daughter who was sleeping in the bed below. I immediately called down to the front desk and informed the desk clerk of the situation. Without apologizing for the inconvenience, he just moved us to another room. At the time of check-out, we provided an opportunity for the morning desk clerk to make it right for the major inconvenience of waking up in the middle of night and having to move all of our luggage to another room. She said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked if I could speak to someone who could make it right and she said no.

Clean, friendly staff

Nice hotel in a good location, can walk to downtown in about 30 minutes. Our room was really big and very clean. Breakfast was good and staff seemed nice. We didn’t like having to pay for parking. It would be understandable if the hotel was downtown but we would have expected it to be free like most hotels like this.

Then let's get to breakfast's. The area was full of waffle batter by the station. The only thing that changed was refill of the coffee. The elevator I doubt was ever cleaned.

I liked my room. It was neat in appearance, clean and I enjoyed the coffee. I thought the property was nice. Only thing I didn’t like was the hair dryer because it had a folding handle that kept shutting the hair dryer off. This wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.

Great stay! No complaints! Airport shuttle was helpful!

We had to pay for parking. Floors (entry and hallway) were dirty. Sheets were dirty.

Bathroom toilet was running water flapper needed to be fixed ,shower was stopped up, charged to park car

Room was spacious and comfortable. There was a little mold in the ceiling of the bathroom. Limited offering at breakfast.

The staff were great. Breakfast was good Not a fan of paying for parking. Rooms are nice for La Quinta..

We stayed on 9/23. The sheets were not of high quality- rough and itchy. We were charged to park, which was not mentioned and then when we went to our car in the morning, someone had poured ketchup all over our car. We reported it and were told our parking was refunded. It hasn’t been yet. Do not recommend this facility.

This hotel was perfect for our family. Close to downtown but not in a bustling location.

Room was clean. Breakfast was minimal but ok. Had to pay $10 for parking which seemed unreasonable.

Only issue I had with this place is that they charge for parking, which made no sense because it is not close to anything. Also on the morning we were checking out, the fire alarm went off which obviously caused great distress.

Ten bucks extra to park a car at the hotel I am renting is pretty ridiculous. Overall though. Ok hotel. Centrally located.

The room felt surface level clean and like they quickly clean it each time. There were damages to walls and bad patching. The tub caulking looked like there was mold or rust of some kind coming through. The hotel staff didn’t seem to take much pride in their work. Cleaning staff seemed pissed off whenever we walked by them and were not trying to be helpful or mindful of guests.

You charge $10 to park in your parking lot while staying at your hotel. The fire alarm went off, I was in the shower. No one knew what was happening or where to go. There was not one employee telling us what to do. The fire department told us we could go back to our room. We never heard one word from the staff. Very dangerous! Read above
