I would not recommend the Moxy to a fellow traveler. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but there were issues. First, the check-in process was rather long due to issues with their system. When we got to our room there were no cups, so that was a trip down to the lobby. The TV had issues with only some of the channels working. That wouldn’t have bothered me if I could have logged into my streaming apps, but Netflix and Amazon Prime are your only options. The smoke alarm/carbon monoxide is located above the bed, and flashes the green light in your face every ten seconds. The bathroom door is frosted glass, so if you are sharing the room you will wake your companion if you turn on the light. A low mechanical hum goes all night long, so if you are a light sleeper this may be bothersome. Also, be aware that there is mandatory valet parking at $45 per night. I knew about this charge when I booked the room, but some guests didn’t pay attention to this when they made their reservations. If you’re not too picky this is a decent hotel.

Great spot. Not expensive, clean, very inviting

Loud and awkward. Staff helpful but loud (noise from rooms above) and awkward check in. When walking in all you see is the bar...which is also the front desk.

I would not stay here again. This is a brand new (Sept 2026) hotel. So it's very clean and everything works. However. The walls are super thin and the people in the room above me trampled around into the night and made it impossible to sleep, and the noise started again early in the morning. The staff was helpful asking them to tone it down, but they kept at it. There's no noise insulation. There is no closet in the room or anywhere to store your clothes. I had to put everything on the desk. There's pegs on the wall and hangers to hang your clothes from the pegs. Sad in a hotel that presents itself as fancy. No coffee machine, no iron and ironing board (a problem for business travel) and very very basic toiletries. Not worth the high price I paid (3 jights $1333). Find anither hotel that provides the imprescindible basic amenities.

I could hear loud footsteps from the room above us. There must not be ANY soundproofing between floors! I have never experienced that in any other hotel.

The staff was so nice and helpful and we were greeted by a lovely welcome cocktail! Highly recommend this stay.
-
Minimalistic and awkward room design. Confusing entrance setup. Outlets hidden by faux wall and if you did not find this no outlets near bed. Breakfast has to be purchased at adjoining Residence Inn. Location and area was perfect.

Wonderful stay while in town for a concert. Look forward to coming back!!
-
Check in took awhile but staff was kind & accommodating. Nice new hotel great location.
-
Perfect location if you’re going to an event at thompson’s Point while in Portland.
-
The perfect hotel for a concert at Thompson Point.
-
Hotel is new and like most Moxy properties, goes for a cool vibe. But food was advertised and super inconsistent, mediocre, and closed early. The biggest issue is the parking ... the hotel is not walkable to anything, which presumes a car ... but the only option is a $50/night (!!!!) Valet. The guys were super nice but ...the hotel is already probably overpriced for location, and that's a NYC overnight at a suburban hotel

Did not appreciate paying $49 per day for parking. Otherwise, it's a great property and location to events/restaurants close by. It is a 5 minute ride to the old town/shopping/harbor.

The person I’m with love it

In spite of that, would certainly go there again when going to the concert venue. I am sure these bugs will be worked out in short time.

The rooms are NOT well lit, but the beds were incredibly comfortable. I don’t think i would stay again.

Such a great place to stay when seeing a concert at Thompson Point! Just cross the street! Super clean and great staff, valet parking was on top of it! I would stay there again!
