Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Portland-NW Downtown by IHG

Room was good except that they do not have coffee maker on it. The breakfast was just continental.

Great spot. Clean, quiet and comfy. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was great.

The property was close to the freeway and bus stops. The room was huge and clean with a little kitchenette (came with microwave, fridge and a sink). They offered good breakfast and the staff were so friendly. We loved that we were not too far from downtown but far enough that we didn’t have to worry about too many people and didn’t have to pay for parking at the hotel either. I believe because we were closer to the freeway and the room was closer to the road, we could feel the shakiness of the busy streets. The room would shake pretty hard sometimes.

Location was great. Near multiple bus/tram stations. Near many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was very good, the lovely woman ran it really well and was so nice to everyone. Pool and gym were nice. It's a bit run down, but kept up well in spite of that.

Very good breakfast and wide variety of foods to choose from. Coffee , tea, and other hot drinks are available all day.

That is it for positives. I was in two different rooms and both rooms I found hair in the bathroom, one in the towels. Sound proofing is near absent; I could hear every car driving by. The first room shook due to laundry. Second room shook due to, what? I don't even know but every so often, the room shook. I will never stay here again.

Staff were super friendly! Nice breakfast options. Room was comfortable to sleep in. Overall nice stay for what we needed. Only one elevator but that was only inconvenient for when we needed to bring up or down luggage. Otherwise it was faster to take stairs.

Bed was comfy but we felt like we were in prison. No view. Window went into a wall. Kids were bummed no view but the pool was fine. I still think it’s over priced for what it is

The primary photo in the picture on hotels.com isn’t even this hotel. This hotel has four stories of rooms, the photo has six stories and is much nicer. Non-smoking room had a heavy smell of smoke. Neighborhood is a little rough.

Easy to park and get to from freeway, close to shops and services, breakfast included Nothing

The hotel is nice, clean room, convience store 200 ft away Sketchy neighborhood, I wouldn’t be walking kids around there at night, but that’s most of downtown Portland. Also be pretty high daily fee for parking if you can’t find an outdoor space

The room that we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. Will definetelly stay there again in the future. Very close to the nice walcble street with a lot of cafe and restaurants.
