We had a great day here, the room was large and comfortable for our family of four and the breakfast was top-notch and located in walking distance of attractions
-
Beautiful property with many relaxing lounge areas. The suite was spacious and comfortable for our family. Lovely little over night stay as we were just driving through. We look forward to a longer visit in the future!
-
Spacious room and clean kitchen and fridge. It was great that there were paper towels, dish soap, and a sponge. staff was friendly as well Pillows were flat, water in the lobby was always empty, there were no house slippers available for guests (front desk said they had run out), and the location was not as central as I had hoped

I liked the spacious rooms, the courtyard, and the gym. Close walking distance to so many awesome places. They offered spa water and coffee in the lobby. I wasn't a fan of the half shower door however the bathrooms are beautiful and lots of great lighting.

Top notch property. Courtyard is outstanding. Restaurant/bar is wonderful.

The other thing that soured the experience was parking. We could choose to park on the street if we could find a spot, go to a public parking lot located away from the hotel or use valet parking for an additional 59 dollars a night. I will most likely choose a different hotel next time myself since I love food and we tend to want to swim and not be right in other people's space bubble.

Everything was wonderful! Staff were amazing and helpful. Clean rooms, wonderful layout and size. Master light got me, but it was all excellent

Room large and clean, friendly staff, comfortable stay.

The room was very nice and there was quite a nice complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel is in a good location to the pearl district, and there is a parking garage right around the corner that you can use to avoid the hefty valet prices. Biggest disappointment with our stay was being told we couldn’t have but one room key when we checked in. There were three of us adults staying in a large suit. We didn’t intend to, or want to stay together during our stay. Even going down to the lobby requires a room key to operate the elevator. Having only one key forced us to adjust our plans to stay together when we were out away from the room. Only giving one room key out even after more are requested is frankly unacceptable for a Marriott branded hotel.

Great location, clean modern courtyard, nice indoor pool but no jacuzzi, rooms are modern and spacious.

Staff must have changed since the last set of reviews because they were not very good. They gave us a single key card and wouldn’t give us another due to a “key card shortage” at the hotel. You need the card to use the elevator and get up to your room, so this was extremely inconvenient. We also had to ask for an extra blanket 3 separate times before receiving it more than hour later by which time it was almost midnight, and only after my husband went down to the front desk and stated he would wait there for the blanket when they tried to tell us that housekeeping would bring it up to us in 5-10 minutes (again). One of the drawers in the kitchen was also broken, which was annoying since it was the one holding the cutlery.

We loved our stay here. Great location-could walk to Powell's and lots of restaurants. We spent a lot of time in the courtyard, which was so relaxing. We appreciated there was free coffee and lemonade in the lobby. Would stay here again!

Great experience!

Valet service was great. My room was clean and cool. I must have had an ADA room as the shower had no curtain or door and ended up spraying water all over the bathroom floor, where I slipped until I could get a towel down. I was surprised at how dirty the common areas were: elevators with crushed crackers, floor landings not vacuumed or tile swept, compliments drink station not refilled. Hotel was convenient to Union Station and about 10 blocks from Powell’s Books. The young woman in reception never got off her chair when speaking with customers and told me that it was safe to walk the streets—I wasn’t unsafe but a bit anxious repeatedly passing those who were on the streets doing drugs or clearly mentally ill. Tried joining touring groups so as not to appear alone. I’d stay again because it was close to friends in the Pearl District but improvements could definitely be made.

It was a beautiful hotel and great location. We got locked out of the room, because the card stopped working. Also the parking situation is not that great. They offer valet, but you should just park in the parking garage behind the hotel as it is cheaper.

- Rooms now have manual light switches, notably in the bathrooms (so no motion light flooding the whole bathroom when nature calls in the middle of the night. - The pool area is nice and clean and gets used daily now. - There’s a fence around the back courtyard for security, which now invites more outdoor dining. Also QR menus are on every table and the outdoor lighting has more coverage throughout the courtyard. - The ever-friendly and inclusive staff remains amazing. These folks add REAL value to stays here and are why I keep coming back. - Fresh infused water is available daily in addition to water dispensers in the lobby and fitness center. - The breakfast options are fantastic. Also they have a great rotation of protein and eggs. Then the mini waffle station is easy for pre-teens to use. Finally the kitchen staff is some of the best you’ll find in a hotel. They are always friendly and run a tight ship with clean and dry flatware/tableware ready and plentiful for guests. - The elevators all function and are fast which handles the volume of guests very well. At each press of a button you’ll wait no more than 30 seconds for an open elevator. This is impressive as the third elevator car doubles as the service elevator. Overall the Residence Inn Marriott Downtown / Pearl District is a perfect place to stay when visiting Stumptown and gets As across the board as a very-well run property.

Wonderful experience! Great location, helpful and friendly staff, and GF waffles at breakfast that was actually policed by staff to prevent cross contamination. Highly recommend!!
