Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront by IHG

This place was great! Beautiful location right on the water. The pool is a blast. You can order food from the restaurant to be delivered poolside. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Clean room and staff

From the moment of check-in to having to leave after two days, everything was perfect. Our room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. The hot tub was relaxing and the trees around the pool area were magnificent. Parking was a snap! The bartender was awesome, the draft stout and the food, both appetizers and the main dish, were delicious!

Huge hotel, great location. Easy access to all PDX musts. I didn’t mind being close to the highway at all for that reason. Beautiful view of the river and loved the outdoor spa and pool

Great service, room and view.

Room had broken air vent that rattled if AC/heating was on. Room was adjoining & dog whining in room next to us all night. Could hear everything in hallway next morning also. Espresso bar was “not available” at 10am due to kitchen staff catching up after breakfast rush however there were 3 staff members just standing behind the bar - found this rude. No life guard on duty for pool - safety concern.

We only stayed one night, it was fine. I'm disabled and the room she put us in was super far from where I parked in the front. The front desk lady who checked us in talked WAY to much. It was by far the longest check in I've ever had. It is conveniently located and the parking is included with a parking lot which is nice. I would stay here again.

Great check in experience and the room was huge

Would suggest buying the breakfast with the room, otherwise, the prices are high.

The pool was amazing, especially for kids. They enjoyed it to the max. There was food/drinks service next to the pool too, which was great when the kiddoes needed something to snack on. The room was in a bad condition. There was a leak from the ceiling that stayed there for the entirety of our stay (after we let the front office know); we couldn't use one of the sinks at all because of that. The cleaning service was horrible some days, decent in others. Every day we had to ask for extra towels because they left fewer than 4 bath towels for 4 people.

The outside temperatures were in the mid-90's, but the area around the outdoor pool had trees plus areas of umbrellas. With the Columbia River breeze it was really beautiful. The room was very clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only 'negative' for us ~ we were in room 390 and after unpacking we discovered our toilet was made for kids / little people / dwarfs... ~ much lower to the ground than 'normal'. We quickly adjusted and did not request a change of rooms. We stayed four nights and had wonderful walks along the Columbia River.

The room was clean and despite the building being around for awhile, the “resort feel” around the pool and the views looking out at the River were great. My husband and I really enjoyed the pool area. Not sure if it’s the case for every room but our bed was pretty uncomfortable and sunken in the middle so we didn’t sleep the best. But the staff was nice and the grounds are massive and beautiful so if we could ensure the bed was better I’m sure we’d come again in the future.

Would stay again!

Dated and drab with cobwebs and a lot of dust in the room as well as outside (outside windows need serious washing as webs and dirt are across many). Areas other than lobby didn't feel clean. TVs are not "smart" and have no option to stream/cast from phones which is nearly unheard of now. That was a huge disappointment with kids. Positives: I was able to get 1 of the 2 EV chargers overnight, pool area seemed relatively clean, and river views are nice. "Kids eat free" is also a plus. Ultimately, I would pay slightly more to stay elsewhere next time.

Better detail in some areas

It was a very hot day and the A/C in the room kept it cool. The complementary breakfast cooked to order was very good. There is no A/C in the halls or elevator, which I think a modern hotel should have
