Residence Inn by Marriott Portland North

It is a nice property. But. Being on the 4th floors ADA 2 bedroom suite one of the bathroom was backup and maintenance was on call took 2 hours the first time I called the front desk. Happened again overnight and I called front desk to let them know. Maintenance was on call and hadn’t arrived to work yet in the morning. Well I could saved me money and camped out if I wanted to use an outhouse. Ridiculous.

Our family regretted booking this place but we had no choice but to stay since it was only two nights. Property at a dead ent street surrounded by other hotels and apartments. Street is crowed with transients along with parking lot. Breakfast was horrible we made the best out of it. Other patrons did not have any class drinking 12 packs of beer and smoking marijuana. We did not feel safe here and were eager to go asap. Do not come here with your family unless you bring something for self defense. We were even followed by a stranger in our car when we left. Couldn’t get any sleep since freeway is so loud.

The layout of the room is great! Having two bathrooms was also great. We enjoy the room. Very comfortable and quiet. Some things need fixing in the bathroom. Furniture is stained needs to be cleaned!

Breakfast was good! Room is a little dated! and pull out bed needs attention! my 12 yr old had to sleep on it , not a good experience! the mattress was stained and very thin, she complained about feeling the bar and springs! This kid can sleep anywhere usually! other wise good over all!

Loved having 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms as well full kitchen in our suite. The gentleman who was just coming in his shift was the most pleasant person, so helpful and genuinely kind, he was “filling in” from another property but I wished I had gotten his name because he deserves recognition. And the lady this morning was very friendly too. One elevator not working, the other sounded like it was dying. Breakfast from 6-9 was a bummer, we slept great, so, with a noon checkout, 10 or 11 would be ideal.

Parking was convenient. Room was clean. We had a problem checking in. Breakfast was good.

Nice place to stay. Facilities are good enough and location good of expo area. Street and hotel are densely packed into hundreds of apts so very crowded. Breakfast is below average and all frozen microwaved eggs a such.

When I arrived to the hotel, they put me in a room that was already occupied. Then the staff at the front desk apologized and put me in another room that I found a bug in the bed in. They then moved me to another room. They did try to make it right by comping our entire stay. We did end up checking out of the hotel a day early.

The room was perfect for our family of 5. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was good with reasonable choices. Parking easy and always available, road to hotel is a bit insane with cars parked both sides, hopefully you don't meet a truck going other way lol.

Parking is convenient. Breakfast offerings were limited, but generally good quality. Staff at front desk was a new hire. She was pleasant and helpful. Bed was too soft. Sofa cushions were too spongy and kept slipping into its frame. We were awakened at 3am when we heard the arrival of a large, noisy truck with squealing brakes, right outside our 2nd story window. Stopper in bathroom sink was broken; bottom of dishwasher was full of water. Although the hotel is close to the river, it is surrounded by other hotels and apartment buildings, so all you see is a narrow street, some parking, and buildings. It wasn't dreadful... it was just meh

When I went to breakfast staff ran up on me like I didn’t belong. Not ok!!! Black guy with dreads. Also, they were painting the wing I was on and they started at 8am. No warning from staff.

And the room was excellent. Very clean and had everything we needed. We were in Portland to work an event, and will be booking again next year.
