It was a good hotel with a nice location and helpful staff, but there was a hidden fee. They charged me during check-in, and Expedia didn’t include this extra charge, so I had to pay an additional $29 per day, which didn’t make sense.

The location was great, staff was great as well but the room are not great, our room had a bad smell like no one had stayed in it for ages, the carpet was also very old and dirty

The front desk staff provided excellent customer service. The breakfast was okay. More options such as boiled or scrambled eggs, yogurt, or oatmeal would have been appreciated. Housekeeping only provided services on the third day. I had to request fresh towels and garbage pick up on other days.

Hotel Lucia is a lovely downtown Portland hotel. The bed is so comfortable and the room nicely decorated. The air conditioner kept things very cold on a hotter than normal day. They provide a beer happy hour, coffee in the morning and water and tea afterwards. The downtown location is very covenient. All of the staff was very friendly.

Had pillowcases on three of my 4 pillows. Careless. Plus they only do housekeeping every 3 days (guess that's not an amenity!) so I never had service. No food or bar. Fortunately there was a Kimpton next door.

We booked our stay as a last-minute getaway for a holiday weekend and we were so thrilled with our stay. The room was well-appointed and comfortable. We took advantage of the daily happy hour to check out local brews. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in an older, remodeled hotel. The Pearl District is so wonderfully quirky and charming!

Parking was a problem but across the street worked. Lovely place.

Nice hotel located in the downtown area. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable but somewhat small. Would stay again.

Room was clean and had all of the basics, but nothing that made this place stand out. Lobby was beautiful decorated but the rooms themselves are nothing special. We had a view looking directly into an apartment, parking costs a ton, and there’s very little water pressure in the bathrooms. All fairly normal city stay woes, but with the price of the room plus the surprise “luxury fee” each night, it really wasn’t worth it. Not a clue what the luxury fee was for either, when they nickel and dimed for everything beyond the bed to sleep in. Not even a continental breakfast in sight.

We loved our stay! Instantly walking in, you can tell that this was a 4 star hotel that deserved it's rating. It was sparkling clean, the front desk person was very friendly, the bed was so comfortable, and we definitely will be coming back for future visits.

The bathroom is too small. The toilet is half way the door. The sink is like a salad bowl size. There’s barely any space for your own stuff. The hotel charges 28 dollars for something you don’t really need, such as 5-6 pm happy hour beer, etc. They don’t have anything except for a bar of soap. The most most horrible thing is the flush sound of the toilet. You can hear your next door neighbor flushing so clearly and loudly that it can wake you up in the middle of the night.

Great location to stay if you are going to be in the downtown Portland area, as it is somewhat centrally located and a lot of places are walkable from this location. First off know that the room will probably be small, as it is an older hotel, but the room is very clean, and the bed was very comfortable and easy to sleep in. The shower was a bit of a problem as the water pressure is very low so you have to stand close to it like taking a shower underneath the faucet. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely helpful, gave us good food recommendations, and willing to meet any need that we had. The other amenities around the hotel are incredible, such as free beer on tap from 5 to 6 PM, and some free play video games down from the lobby. There’s a parking lot across the street which made it very convenient to park, and the cost is only $28 for 24 hour parking however there is no in and out privileges, but there is cheaper parking by the hour.
