The Woodlark is a vibe - very modern and chic with a coffeeshop, restaurant, and speakeasy connected to the hotel. There are an absurd number of fees and taxes tacked on to the nightly rate, but they give you a $15 credit for options like bike rentals, food/bev, and items from the little "market" shelf by the front desk. There are no ice machines on the floors but the front desk will take care of that for you, and they have welcome "martinis" (albeit served in the little dentist paper cups). Rooms are spacious but the city view rooms do have a LOT of street noise (earplugs and white noise machines are included to address that) and very poor lighting in the bedroom area, so I wasn't able to get much work done at the dimly lit desk. That aside, the bed was comfortable and I had everything else that I needed. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent all around, and a great coffee shop by the reception area.
-
Corner room with city view - great staff - wonderful amenities. At check-in, bathroom sink not clean and random (maybe used?) laundry/pillow case on floor.

Excellent location and great rooms! Def would stay here again. Also the food at the Bullard is amazing!

Very small rooms, unexpected fees.

We were a little concerned that the property might be a little "too curated" but we found it very comfortable. It was extremely clean and well maintained. A negative for us: the 4:00 pm check-in time is really awkward timing and the hotel had a big sign stressing a $40 "early check in" fee...which was pointed out to me when I questioned whether the room could possible be ready early. If the turnaround time is that tight, I strongly suggest changing check-out to 10:00 am so that check-in could at least be at 3:00 pm. I'd much rather leave early than check in that late. The other big downside to this check-in time was that there was only one (very nice) desk person who had to check in an onslaught of guests at 4:00 pm (all of whom were eager to getting and settled).

Very nice room and cool lobby for coffee and breakfast in the morning! We were attending a class reunion so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the facility but it was perfect and relaxing! Will likely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in a great location! Rooms are very well appointed and *spotless*, including floors, upholstery, and shower. Bed and linens were comfy, quick access to public transport, easy walking to shops and restaurants. Remarkably quiet, and hotel provides both earplugs and a bedside sound machine for light sleepers. Super helpful front desk staff, too! 10/10 will stay here next time I’m in town

Wonderful staff, beautiful building, nice walkable area, and WONDERFUL bed!
-
Really nice hotel, excellent rooms if you upgrade to the slightly bigger corner ones. Regular ones can be a bit small. Brilliant coffee bar downstairs.

We regularly stay at the Woodlark for the location. It’s expensive so we keep a lookout for when their rates are lower than their typical price. The beds are super comfortable. The soap and lotions are divine. It’s downtown in a safe area. It’s easy to access other parts of Portland by car from here. We self park at a relatively near parking garage on 10th which is much cheaper than the valet service.

Great hotel, felt very luxurious. Gave us 2 free breakfasts and coffees at the hotel, coffee was great. Very nice amenities. Great location many restaurants and cafes around to explore.

Excellent Boutique Hotel … the restaurant was fantastic.. excellent server…

Parking was $60 valet or street parking and the street parking was limited. Walked in to wine spilled in the elevator and on my floor outside the elevator. Was told to swipe my card for deposit (had already paid in full thru Hotels.com). I used nothing in the room and they charged me $77 on top of everything I already paid and called it a “destination fee.” They must’ve snuck that in some extremely fine print somewhere. Whether it was the hotel or this app, idk, but it’s frustrating and bogus to get that charge. The place was already overpriced with no AC.

There are definitely some slapped on repairs in the rooms and the rooms are really small. But I thought the location and amenities were great! And I enjoyed the view from our room. We lost an item and the hotel was not helpful. They sent me to an app that the hotel never responded to. And that gave me a less of a good experience.
