The staff was very friendly and super helpful, came with two young kids and mentioned we booked the hotel because it had a pool for them. The staff member found a room directly across from the pool and made my stay much easier.

I liked the location. It is pleasant and has good parking. Portsmouth is a lovely town by the sea. I didn't love the breakfast. The coffee was poor. The bathroom was OK, but the toilet was too low. The walls seemed too thin, and sound from next door was loud. It was quite expensive.

Pool and hot tub were great, breakfast was good, nice location next to Market Basket grocery store, friendly staff, laundry hanger in the shower, comfortable beds, kids liked the 1980s elevator with numbers and bells Property needed some upkeep- peeling wall paper, rusting fixtures. We didn't like the sink in the room itself instead of the bathroom. It smelled like smoke in the hallways and the lighting was dim giving it a bit of a dingy look. The worst part was very slow WiFi so much that I had to leave the property to do work.

The room itself was “generically” clean, but not clean once you spent a few minutes inside. Grease marks from food and fingerprints on the table in the room, trash between the bed and nightstand from the previous “guests”. It was very clear that it was a rush job. The bathtub did not drain well and would fill up to your ankles when taking a shower. The bathroom had no window or forced ventilation to pull moisture out when showering. The coffee pot in the room has clearly seen better days and was not well kept, so that was avoided. The hot tub was a nice idea and was enjoyed (but not well maintained). It was noticed after the jets were off that there was quite of bit of film on the interior walls of it, that clearly has been building for a little while and needed some scrubbing. The Good: Staff was friendly. The pool was well maintained and would make for good kid activities when weather prohibits being outside or at the end of the day. (Pool is a long narrow pool, with a 3ft shallow to a 5ft deep end). The pool design is nice when there aren’t many people there, but a few people make it “packed” very quickly. Breakfast included the nicest benefit for having a full family trip. It made it much easier to start the mornings without having to search for a restaurant or wait in tourist length lines. Overall: if you do not mind an outdated hotel, that needs modernization, this is not a bad place when trying to keep costs down.

Clean well maintained property, nice helpful staff, breakfast was decent with nice area to eat it in. Pool was freezing though but hot tub was nice.

This place was cleaner than the Hilton that we stayed in last month! The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was hot plentiful and the staff kept up on the cleaning around the area and the rooms were spacious and clean!! I would definitely stay here again

Everything was great w exception to the pool area . It was dangerously slippery . Maybe some mats in the future !
