Aloft by Marriott Providence Downtown

Lots of areas you can walk to. Great outdoor courtyard to eat breakfast. Hotel has a rooftop bar that was lovely. The beds could be a bit softer.

Overall it was a nice hotel. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken so the toilet paper just sat on the back of the toilet. The worst part about staying here was that at 9am on the day of our checkout housekeeping was knocking on our door- waking us up, even though checkout isn’t until 11am. It was very irritating after a late night out after a concert the night before.

Welcoming staff was great. Room was not very clean and had a peculiar smell.

Location is very central

Lobby has fun amenities, lots seating and a bar. Parking expensive. Should be included in room price. Room was good bed comfy large TV. Large shower

Great hotel! Near JWU which is why we stayed. Walkable to the college and restaurants. Hotel was clean. Rooftop bar was nice! Staff was friendly and helpful!

Very lovely place. Me and my man had an amazing stay here. We had the river view which was beautiful especially at night. I will definitely recommend.

I would have given a higher rating if the room would have been cleaned when we left to go site seeing for numerous hours. We returned to the room and notice there was no housekeeping services. We had to call for service.

A really beautiful place to stay

Very nice hotel! The room layout was great, and the beds were very comfortable. Only complaint would be that the soaps/TP/tissues weren't refilled daily, had to constantly ask the front desk.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is great - close to walking/bike paths and the river. Will definitely stay there again!

The rooftop bar was another disappointment. The bar is very small and was full when we arrived. We asked if we could grab a drink while waiting, but were told no and directed to the host. We checked in with Melissa, who was extremely rude and condescending. The generalized unprofessional attitudes of staff upstairs continued, so we ultimately left and went downstairs to the hotel bar. Thankfully, Chris, the downstairs bartender, was wonderful. He listened to us explain what happened and kindly offered our drinks on the house. We also learned that the rooftop staff is managed separately from the downstairs bar. Overall, between the misleading “river view,” disappointing rooftop experience, and poor customer service, I would not stay here again. The downstairs staff was the highlight of the experience, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the rest.

The location was good. Very modern hotel and super nice staff. I would definitely stay there again. I think the room was small for 4 people, we should have gotten 2 rooms.

Great place great service $12 for bottle of smart water was the best part They make you feel VIP by making sure you pay obnoxiously high prices for basic needs I hope by next time it’s $20/bottle
