Uniquely decorated hotel. King suit room was large and comfortable for 4 people. Large sitting area. Lots of places to hang out in the lobby and Mezzanine area. Large bar/restaurant attached to hotel. Located in the heart of downtown. Lots of restaurants and stores right outside the front door. Nothing

My best friend and I got trapped in the elevator for 30 minutes. When we used the emergency call button inside, it connected us to Otis (the elevator company), but the audio was hard to hear, leaving us unsure if anyone was coming. When I tried calling the hotel front desk directly, they put me on hold without really answering and then casually said they would "let somebody know" before leaving it at that. After waiting 15 to 20 minutes, we called Otis a second time and were told it would be another hou before anyone arrived. If a fellow guest hadn't happened to be an elevator technician and shown us how to get the doors open, we would have completely missed our non-refundable scheduled dinner train reservation. When I went to the front desk to report the incident and check out, the staff member showed zero sympathy, didn't offer a single apology, and instead rudely interrogated us, questioning what we did to get the doors open ourselves. Safety issues can happen, but treating trapped guests with utter indifference, poor communication, and suspicion is completely unacceptable. I expected a basic level of hospitality and professionalism, and management really needs to address how this team handles emergency situations.

The decor in the lobby is fantastic! They preserved the elegance of an older hotel with a refreshed & modern twist. They preserved the staff was very nice and helpful, room was comfortable. Coffee shop is funky. Would stay again.

Fun decor. 2 king beds is a nice offering. Great location. Bathrooms are not renovated. Housekeeping is inconsistent. No lobby bar.

No valet, self parking ($45) a block away. No room service, one restaurant with limited hours. Beautiful old historic hotel that looks a bit silly redecorated to fit the Graduate brand. Please restore to its natural elegance and charm!

Beautiful hotel located close by convention center.

I found the rooms well designed but starting show some wear and tear. The park in front is nice but a lot of homelessness there which can make you feel slightly unsafe

Room clean however checking in was 1.5 hours late due to room not ready. This resulted in being late for appointment. Spoke to mgr and got me a small room which was not what I saw on line. No compensation. Not even a parking discount. Charged $47. Staff were courteous and apologized.

The location was spectacular. We purposely chose it for its distance from Providence Station, all the restaurants around the area, and sites to see. It was awesome getting to leave our car at home to save money on parking. And the deep, rich colors of the hotel really made it feel so vintage and cool. If you're a Wes Anderson fan, you want this place. Once we got to our room, that's where the experience dipped a bit. There were no drawers to put away our things, even though there were drawer pulls in the furniture and what looked like a built-in dresser. Our bathroom door also didn't close, most likely due to the humidity, but when I took a shower, the steam set off the smoke alarm located JUST outside the bathroom door. And because the door was right next to the toilet, you had to hold the door closed to even use the restroom. Mostly first-world problems, but definitely not what I would expect for the price.
