Hotel was a little outdated. Also, there was no Coffee available in the morning.
-
Room was not clean, we left the room at 7:30 AM the next morning and room was not serviced on our return at 8:00 PM that night. Claimed we left a no disturb sign on our door which was not true.

The front desk were really helpful and thorough and the location is perfect for if you need to be in central downtown Providence and a walking distance from everything you need to do. There was some dust on the floor and a couple of holes in the carpet, but everything else was good. The shower was very nice and the AC worked perfectly. Only one of the door cards worked but one was all I needed.

Great location

Coffee station at the lobby was very dirty. I didn’t even feel like having a cup of coffee. It looks like they didn’t clean this area in a while. Pretty disgusting.

Breakfast

Nice hotel, but room had potato chip crumbs on the floor when we arrived. As other have noted, there were many people who looked to be homeless or on substances in front of the hotel and across the street.

Good location, big room

Clean room

The people from outside the hotel can be very loud and crowded.

Location was perfect for the venues I was visiting. I wasn't able to control the temperature of the room.

Great staff and love the historic feel of the hotel

Also our daughter had to keep in a fold down bed.

The room was very comfortable- especially the beds and bedding. The shower was nice as well. My sense is that the people who work are doing the best they can but don’t benefit from the kind of training that bigger hotels do. Almost everyone was nice but there was some surprising indifference at times. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious and the staff were great. The location while central, happens to be on a block that is crowded with people buying, selling and doing drugs. My teenage son and I walked by a drug deal in real time, which was not super fun. I felt for the staff who undoubtedly have to deal with all sorts of stuff and have to walk through that activity every day. I get the sense that the place is really understaffed and everyone who works there feels that.

Location Location
-
the attention to details the walls in the room are too thin, could hear everything
-
No vending machines and unreliable water in the lobby had us buying water all weekend. Also- the significant homeless encampment outside the front door is a huge deterrent.
