Best Western Plus Rancho Cordova Inn

It was a good location and price for a stay that includes breakfast. One thing: the nespresso machine gave out 16 ounces of liquid, but the cups provided were smaller than that, so we had to pull the cup before it was done. That was a waste of good coffee.

When I got in - again - it took a long time for anything to happen. When I finally got to the second floor, the door opened and a guest was waiting. It seemed like (in both cases) the other person and myself were making requests to the elevator, and it didn't know what to do. Going back to my tech school days, I bet one approach that might fix the issue: use something as simple as a vintage Intel 8-bit microprocessor. Interface it to the elevator. It could be programmed so that 1) the elevator will only respond to the first person who presses the button, or 2) the elevator will only respond to the person who is physically closest to the passenger compartment, or 3) the elevator gives first priority to someone who has already entered the passenger compartment... you get the idea. Instead of the people getting jerked around by a system that doesn't know what to do, the system has been assigned priorities that fairly saves everyone time. Next time, I will walk.

Just some minor details with the bathroom door that needed to be fixed up.

When we arrived to the room the first thing we noticed was that the refrigerator was not operational at all. It was needed for medicine that needed to be refrigerated which forced me to buy a cooler and ice. I have pictures and receipts. We also noticed strands or hair not belonging to us in the sink and the countertop. Again, I have pictures. We then wanted to take a shower and there were no towels. We called the front desk and the clerk asked if we could come down and get them. We told them we would come and get them after we went for dinner on our way back to the room. Little did we k ow that when we got back there would be no towels available left in the entire hotel. Literally no towels anywhere. We were told they would let us know if they found any. Never heard a thing. So we went without any towels for the duration of our stay. We have NEVER experienced such a poor customer service performance. The facility was not clean at all. Everything was perfect except for our cards would not unlock the lobby door at 11 pm.

Place is clean, safe surroundings, food nearby, friendly staff, easy parking, close to fwy, bedroom kept clean and comfortable, ac unit, well maintained property.

Breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable and I really liked the power of the shower head that helped relax me. The only thing that I didn't like was using the key card in the elevator. I fully understand its purpose and appreciate it, but it was annoying at times.

Not the best. Not the worst. If you only plan to sleep there it was alright. Our first room had no a/c unit which was annoying. I arrived at 3am, had to deal with that. Thankfully the front desk lady was lovely. The second room was good. The cleaning staff did keep turning off the a/c every single day so we would come back to a hot af room. Parking was okay. Breakfast was what you would expect tbh.
