Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova by IHG

The hotel is good. There was refurbishing going on, but it did not affect our stay in general (other than breakfast). While the refurbishing is going on, the breakfast area was moved to Venetian Courts restaurant (a beautiful room, btw). However, it was set up such a way, that they scoop the food into your plates for you... weird... and tip jars were seen in several places. A little overkill for a hotel buffet breakfast, it made us feel a little uncomfortable...

Excellent room and amenities. Pet friendly. Bathroom had a little dirt or possibly mold on wall/ceiling is why I took off a start. Other than that it was a great stay.

This hotel is really nice and clean. It is getting renovated so some parts are not that nice looking but they have a reason for that.

Room was very clean and comfortable. I REALLY liked the refrigerator and microwave oven in the room. Bathroom was well stocked and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful

The bed was very comfortable. The fridge was dirty and it was a long walk and stairs to the room from the parking lot.

I love the location The room wasn't fresh the bed pillow needed new ones or wash the whole pillow not just the pillow case, the bathroom needs to be cleaned better or remodel and the carpet needs a good shampoo.

Large clean room. Bed was comfortable. Swimming pool. Free parking They were doing construction on the entry and facade. It was noisy. Breakfast was basic hotel fare.

I liked the fact it had a real restaurant on the property that was open for breakfast and dinner.

Our stay was overall nice. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. They were attentive to any requests or needs. The downside was construction and remodeling taking place. The noice level was high. It would have been nice if we knew that in advance. It also would have been great if the restaurant was open all day long. It was open for breakfast 6-10 am I believe and then closed until early evening. No eateries in walking distance. Once construction is completed I would stay again.

I love this property. Nice secluded location off the busy streets but still near restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Will definitely stay again.

The only downside is... when booking you don't see that the hotel is undergoing (much needed!) renovations. There are temporary inconveniences and aesthetic shortcomings, including some daytime banging around. For example, the restaurant is now being renovated (great!) and so is closed. The lobby is old and funky, the elevators tired...all of which is fine. I just think guests should know that ahead of time and perhaps a small discount is in order while this is going on. But the floor we stayed on has already been refreshed. Everything was new, smelled nice, and the rooms were very spacious. I would stay here again for the friendly staff and their outstanding breakfast alone. Thank you, Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova! So interested to see your new look next time we pass through.
