Days Inn by Wyndham West Rapid City

This was the most filthy place I had ever stayed. The only reason I stayed was because I had booked a non refundable room online! The front desk was arguing and defensive with customers, the type of customers who came were aggressive and the police were called. The carpets were black with dirt, mud splatters on the wall, filthy lamp shades, bed skirts were covered in black smudges, the bed comforter was stained, bathroom floor dirty but I think the toilet and skink were clean. Bed sheets were clean but I slept in my clothes, and as soon as I woke up I grabbed my bags and left. Don’t stay here!!

Clean hotel and nice friendly staff. Great place to stay and its safe

We were charged $20 for a pet room that we did not request. She would not change it. Probably won't stay there again unless we are refunded!!!

The room and lobby were okay, but sometimes seemed a little janky. I think bare minimum maintenance was done but not much outside of that. I think this is more of a hotel that fits for one night stays as an evening stop for a roadtrip.

Light in bathroom was out the fan in bathroom sounded like a garbage truck never got room cleaned and no new towels unless you asked never would go there again

I turned on the fridge but found out in the morning the fridge wasn't working right. I accidentally signed up for a pet friendly room and instead they "gave" me an upgrade I had to pay cash for $25 extra for a different room. Company policy. I felt taken. It should say in bold letters on the expedia app that I signed up for a pet room and ask if that was what I really wanted. They charge an extra $20 for pet room over and above the regular fee.

The toilet seat was broken and was almost falling off while you were sitting on it Only one light worked Picture frame had part of the frame hanging Only one towel They had us sign a no smoking form, but when we get to our room, It had clearly been heavily smoked in at one time and they were covering it up with even nastier smelling stuff I really wish I could get my money back it was a horrible night for two very weary travelers

The bathroom light / fan combo was on when I entered the room. I noticed after I shut it off, and to turn it back on. It took about 15 minutes to come back on. Isn't that dangerous to leave that fan running like that. It might start a fire.

Air conditioning did not work.

Disappointed that the bar attached to the hotel was closed

The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate after a mishap with the booking, which was the biggest plus of the stay. The property felt unclean throughout the lobby and hallways, though the room was mostly clean. There was active construction on the hotel, so we were awoken fairly early on a Sunday morning to crews using power tools and banging on the walls, which was unfortunate. Overall, the hotel room was passable, but lacked the feel of what you come to expect for hospitality. It was an ok hotel, but I probably would look elsewhere on my next trip to South Dakota.

This is a complete and utter joke of a hotel. It completely baits you with nice pictures but is actually located in a bad part of rapid city and also very unclean and had random red stains on the walls….do with that what you will…..we were tricked by the pictures and thought we were getting something more clean and nice for the amount we spent on the night.

A block bathub , we cannot change the room , the guy don t believe us untim someone else complain about it. For the breakfast omg the garbage was full, was n t clean there was not much to eat even a 7h30 until them that s the worst we had i guess

The pictures where not actually what the rooms where advertised as. The carpet was stained and dirty looking, surfaces had hand prints and were dirty. The tv did not work, the light fixture in the entire had a dead bulb. The bathroom hairdryer did not work and had spackling material on the plug, the bathtub was not sealed on the bottom and would move when stepped on and was dirt looking. There was only one bath towel which for a family was not enough. The walls were also very thin as our neighbors let us know at 2 am with extra curricular activities. The overall very poor experience and so not recommended.

When we went to check in the front desk attendant was arguing with someone that had stayed there earlier that day. The next customer in line had issues with their reservation and he got very argumentative with them as well. He was not very friendly. Room smelled bad. The one good thing was the air conditioner did an excellent job of cooling the room.

No meat on breakfast

bathroom in my assigned room had a completely busted door i tried to get checked into a new room because I did not want the busted door. They had no other rooms READY and it was 630pm!!! I was exhausted and they were not considerate nor apologetic. Horrible experience. I would not stay here if I were you.

Beds were soooo I uncomfortable.
