Lazy U Motel

Less than desirable people stay and hang out here.

I booked for a room 3 months before our travel date, but when we arrived at 5pm, their office was closed. When I tried to twist the door knob, a dog barked from inside. I called the number posted on the door, and the person who answered the call said that my booking was cancelled and that they were overbooked for the night. Hotels.com should stop transacting with this motel. My booking was non refundable, but since I didn’t receive the service, I should get my money back. I’m still waiting for my refund.

Nothing tried to check in around 11pm and nobody was there to check me in paid for nothing Ripped me off

Room was very comfortable and clean. Office and outside needs serious work/cleanup

We couldnt check in because the manager never showed up. After waiting outside for almost 2 hours and three phone calls my husband and i ended up leaving and driving the rest of the 6 hours home. I also have current picturea that i want to share because the property today is nothing like what is posted on your website. I would like a refund please because on the third phone call the manager told me he never received my reservation from Expedia and he had issues with Expedia in the past. This hotel is not even worthy of 1 star. Please respond to me about this issues!

I didn't stay there that night, in the past years I had and it was clean and quiet. This time it looked like it had been rundown a lot,how ever I believe the manager is working hard to fix it back up and I really hope he can. The manager was very nice and looked like he was working hard the best part was that he didn't hold me to the deal and cheerfully refunded my money and we were able to find another room that night luckily

Total gut job going on . Nobody there to check us in and when we called the # on the office door they said they couldn't be back for an hour. They offered a refund which we never got. They said they did everything on there part to do it and no it was up to Expedia. They have done nothing and when I try to talk with them I get a stupid useless bot. I'm done with them and anything associated with them.

I was never able to even check in. There was no one to check me in. I waited for almost an hour and no one showed up to check me in even though I called the number on the door and left a message. I finally left and found a new place to stay. VERY DISAPPOINTED! No employee even to check me in

I was not able to check in in this hotel. I reached hotel around 915pm. Office was closed. There was number to call. I called them many times but call was going on voicemail. No one returned my call. I need my refund asap

The quaintness. The office was a wreck. The beds needed new mattress. The drains in sink and in bath tub did not drain.

This motel had the best rate available in the area and does have some vintage charm with exposed beam ceilings and other small touches. The mattresses and bedding were brand new and bug free. There was also a large capacity fridge and freezer in the room. The shower had excellent water pressure and felt great. The television offered plenty of selection for channels or movies and we were able to connect our game console to it. I also want to note that the gentleman whom I believe to be the owner was very kind and appears to be a talented artist. Unfortunately, our room was not ready for us when we arrived. We did book several weeks out, so I would have anticipated it being immediately ready. The entrance to the office was somewhat confusing as the door has a closed sign with a note to call management for help, but a staff member did step out to greet me and get me checked in. The office, however, is not suitable for business. The lights were off and it was clear that the area was being used for storage. It was evident that there is a very talented artist using the area, but containing these items in a space intended for check in felt unusual. We waited a few minutes for housekeeping to finish cleaning our bathroom before we were able to enter our room. We were told that their washing machine was inoperable and they were waiting for clean towels, but did supply us with some to get started. We thankfully had our own towels and largely used those. There were no trash cans in our room so we did have to ask for those and were promptly supplied with them. As a former housekeeper myself, I must say that cleanliness in our room could have been better. It was not so dirty that I felt my health was at risk, but I did feel compelled to "mop" the bathroom floor and wipe some things down as there were crumbs/hair/misc smudges on surfaces, floors, walls. The freezer compartment of the fridge and the microwave were also dirty. I understand that a dated property cannot be pristine, but when I spend hundreds of dollars for a room, I expect the floors to be swept well, mopped and surfaces free from debris that can be wiped away. My number one priorities are safety and no bugs. This property met those expectations. And honestly I really wanted to love it here, as the gentleman I interacted with did seem genuinely kind and caring. This property had the best rate available, is in a great location and has a lot of potential if staff just gets a little better organized.

Bedbugs, need I say more?

Absolutely NOTHING!! Dirty, unorganized,worst place that I’ve seen in my 75 years. Will never use Booking.com again! Obviously this place has never been reviewed by a legitimate source! Could not even spend the night and lost over $100 but would not allow my wife to stay another minute, in this place! Booking.com should be ashamed!!

No one was at motel desk. They neither answered the posted phone number nor was my call returned.

Parking in front of the door: easy to load / unload the car. Everything is old and dirty. My daughters suspected towels and bed lined either not washed or not washed properly. The reception area doesn't exist and we were charged right on the street. We were asked to call the property up front and provide CC details as they won't guarantee our stay otherwise. Very weird setup for booking.com partner.

Manager (owner?) was very friendly, down to earth and helpful. Was quiet. Everything worked and was clean. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Pizza joint right next door. Wilderness Park area a five minute drive up the closest street. Cool '50s vibe. Suited my needs but definitely no-frills. No coffeemaker. The office was closed for construction so had to contact manager by phone (always answered promptly). Some construction materials on premises.
