Motel 6 Redding, CA - Central

Amazing staff, it was clean, good wifi. Clean bathroom and hot water. Overall good stay.

It was close to where I had to be..but I didn't like the homeless person watching the parking lot..we did comfort him because he was looking at my car..than he left...but everything was good thank you Homeless ppl but everywhere u go you'll find them....n to put shampoo/conditioner,makeup remover

Too close from I-5. There are some noisy situation by passing cars from the main highways.

The location is at the intersection of two freeways and a major city street. The number of disclaimers in the parking lot and inside the room itself speak for themselves and its location.

If you are lucky, you won't have to listen to work trucks at 5 am! Or the homeless yelling! Or the garbage truck beeping while it backs up.

Location I was told I would have queen bed rooms and they were full . Very small rooms

This was by far the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty overall, with hair in multiple places, and it was obvious that it had not been properly cleaned after the previous guests. But the worst part was the bed and the towels. They clearly appeared to have been left unchanged from the previous occupants. The bedding was wrinkled, covered with hair, and had visible bodily-fluid stains. The towels also appeared used and had hair on them. There was absolutely no need to “look closely” to notice this — it was immediately obvious. We went to the front desk and asked for clean bedding. The employee was busy having a loud, lengthy conversation with his coworker about the personal and family drama of someone they both knew. When he finally acknowledged us, he essentially said that he did not know anything about the situation, handed us ONE clean sheet, and told us we could change the bed ourselves. Only after a rather frustrating discussion did he finally provide us with pillowcases as well. I understand that Motel 6 is a budget hotel and I was not expecting luxury. But a freshly cleaned room, clean bedding, and clean towels are the absolute minimum standards of basic hygiene in any hotel. Being given bedding apparently used by previous guests and then being expected to remake the bed ourselves was completely unacceptable. This was easily the worst hotel room experience I have ever had.

I did not well. My wife and I white was the room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was clean. We were happy with that. The door did not shut all the way, but you could lock it. There was a gap. Can the door and the door frame. There was construction work going on, which was no control of motel. Six, but if we would have known that we would have asked for an inside room. Also, we're two seniors, we're both seventy years old. They should have recognized that and asked us if we wanted a room downstairs, they did not. It was in a good location. Plenty of restaurants around. We would stay there again only with the condition that we're guaranteed. We have a bottom floor away from any construction work going on on the street.

I saw multiple cockroaches and stray hairs (not mine) in the shower. Parking was easy, sketchy area though.

The staff were very respectful, the room was decent sized and was clean.

We arrived and were asked if we could stomach a room without a TV which would be ready for us, otherwise we would have to wait. We're phone addicted gremlins so that was fine with us. After the switch, we discovered the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which was a nogo because of my girlfriend's asthma. Luckily, we had a great guy working the counter and he was able to revert us to the previous room. Thank you very much front desk guy with glasses I can't remember the name of! He had even dealt with a cranky boomer right before us so him being understanding and polite was very professional and patient of him. Avoid room 119 for now if you don't like smoking! 😱

The temperature outside was blistering but I came into my room with the air conditioning already set to 60 degrees and enything else I needed to just get a good night's sleep and a fresh shower in the morning was there and waiting. I had intended to wake up and be gone by 5:30am but apparently it was trash day and so I awoke at 4:00am to the orchestra of dumpsters being emptied. It all worked out fine, allowing me to get on the road a little earlier for another nearly 600 mile drive for the rest of my trip back to Apple Valley, CA.
