Good overall , will come again

We loved staying at the Oxford! It was a great location and the room was nice. The breakfast and pool were also great amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful! We would recommend!

Breakfast hours were a HUGE disappointment. Ending by 9 am isn’t family friendly or reasonable. We rolled in at 9:05 only to be told it was over, which shocked me. Most places go until 10. You can tell it was an older hotel that was updated. It feels old with a new facade inside, so you still have creaking, smells, loud air conditioner units in the room, and outdated windows that don’t conceal noise well. This is a decent choice if all you care about is a quick stop for swimming. Overall, I wouldn’t go here again. Check out by 11 felt very rushed. We prioritize hotels that give you until noon so you can swim the morning before leaving. Next time we will stay somewhere else, but I think we are pickier than your average family so keep that in mind. We are used to upkept hotels, reasonable hours, and excellent customer service.

We had a wonderful stay at Oxford Suites Redding. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was spacious,, with a separate living room and door for added privacy. The location was very convenient, close to theory coffee and Shasta Dam. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Great staff. Big room/suite.

Our stay was very disappointing. The front desk manager was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout our interaction. We felt that we were treated differently because we were foreigners and did not speak English fluently. The difference in the way we were treated compared to other guests made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Breakfast was very basic, and the hotel staff seemed unprepared for the number of guests. Food and bread frequently ran out, and it took a long time for them to be refilled. The staff simply could not keep up with the busy breakfast service. Respect and professionalism should be shown to every guest, regardless of their background or language. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We left feeling disappointed and would not choose to stay here again.

The bar area. The bartender lady was amazing. How small the rooms are. How you have to stand in the shower to turn it on as the door didn't open on both sides. The beds were not very comfortable. The fridge was placed weird in the cabinet had a difficult time opening. The breakfast was alright. The eggs tasted so bad.

The breakfast was good.

Great spot! My kids and I really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and breakfast. Plus they gave us a complimentary drink at the bar when we checked in! Super great stay.

It was a really nice place and our room was very comfortable.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The day of check in the sent me a text with options for upgrades or add ons. Check in was very easy. We took advantage of the drink tickets. The bar tender was very friendly and the other patrons werr fun to talk to. The facilities were clean. The bed was VERY comfortable. The shower was a good size, clean, and it drained. The breakfast had good options. Other reviews said that you could hear people walking around on the floor above, which is true, but it wasn't terrible. I was thankful that it didn't seem like we kids above us and people who didn't excessively walk around. We couldn't hear other people's tvs or conversations. We would definitely stay here again. The room is small. We had just come from a different hotel company with larger rooms and it was a bit shocking when we walked in. They do not offer daily cleaning, which is something I think they should make more obvious when booking.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient!

This was a clean, comfortable stay. They offered a free drink the night of your arrival although the bar only stayed open until 7 PM that night. We didn’t do much other than use this as a stop over, but it was comfortable and suited our needs. It has a nice restaurant next-door called Logan’s. When we first walked in, I wanted to walk out because they had some sort of a septic problem. The waitress apologized and said that they had rooms in the back free of the smell. When she took us to the back room we could no longer smell the problem and were able to eat an extremely tasty meal. While this is not a review of the restaurant, it is nice to have that amenity right next-door to the hotel.

Hectic

Everything was fine except the noise. You could hear the noise from next door or the room above yours very clearly.
-
Great breakfast! Staff are friendly and very helpful. We happen to be there the evening they didn’t offer their social hour, and that was a disappointment. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked good. There is a small, clean exercise room with a decent selection of free weights.

Clean hotel and close to everything
-
Cons- Very thin walls. Can hear people above us, next to us and the hall having full on conversations and walking. The hotel can also use a remodel/reno. Outdated furniture and decor.
-
Very clean property and friendly staff.
