Exceptional

The hotel is in good quiet location. The self parking was easy, The morning breakfast was good. There is drinking water station to fill your water bottles. The room was quiet, clean. Overall a good stay.

the hotel was overbooked, the coward supervisor put an intern on the front desk on a busy weekend! Couldn’t get any worse

The property was very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and even helped me sign up for their rewards program with Marriott. They spoke very highly of the program which gave me the sense that they very much liked their job. It was very close to downtown Redding so you have plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Neighborhood was safe and clean. I also very much appreciated that they upgraded very room to a HUGE suite that was basically a small apartment. Of course they are super dog friendly which is amazing.

Young man (tall, dark hair, struggling to have facial hair) who empties the garbage, comes into the parking lot fast & cuts across on the wrong side. When sitting there waiting to exit, he flips you off if you are in his way. He drives a small truck, loaded with stuff (ladder, garbage cans, equipment, etc.) I observed this multiple times during my stay.

Old but well maintained hotel. Very convenient location.

We were there because our son was in the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon, the hotel was perfect.

Breakfast was OK, not great (scrambled eggs every morning?) There was a waffle maker, but couldn't be used. Plain yogurt would be nice, no fruit flavoring. Coffee was warm. not hot. Room door was hard to open (had to jiggle the handle just the right way). No safe in the room.

We liked everything about the room. The hotel is located right next to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay both times, coming and going. Beakfast was NOT good. The eggs tasted like plastic. That was the only thing we didn't like.

Train your staff and their appearance

New and well designed.

The sheets smelled clean! The room looks and smells clean. Nothing stale or artificial. Shower is strong (maybe a little too strong lol). We had an issue with the bathroom, but staff helped us out tremendously. Breakfast was great: sausage, eggs, pancakes etc, and the coffee was superb! Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The amenities were top notch. For the price, I will come back to a Marriott hotel in a heartbeat.
