Red Lion Inn is a great place to stay in Redding. We arrived early, and had to spend a couple of hours at the park before our room was ready, but the staff did their best to accommodate us and were very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable - so nice to have air conditioning in that heat, and the pool is the largest hotel pool in Redding and is wonderful to enjoy!

We have stayed here several times over the last decade and it feels like the remodel is never going to finish. Our room was just not good enough. It was OK but every time we stay, the rooms seem worse than the last time. The 3 Shasta's no longer offer the famous homemade mac and cheese and that made us sad. The food was good, the service in the restaurant was fine but the vibe is dull and the locals don't seem interested in where this place is going. The pool was fine, still no real place to take a dog on the property, still constuction mess and noise at many spots throughout. But the biggest bummer is that the quality of their once epic breakfast is gone. It just wasn't that great. Leaving here the other day we were sad because we knew, we won't be back. A several year tradition of good times has come to an end.

The room was clean but the bed was worn out.

This is an older hotel that is kept clean and has friendly, helpful staff and the largest pool in Read. Very nice.

Well the ac unit sound like it was going to blow up and the house keeping of the porch was horrible spider webs all over. I had to kill a cockroach out side of my door. The hallways had a moldy smell.

Our room was clean and comfy. We enjoyed our stay the only issue was the breakfast breakfast was cold and it was removed before 10 am on a Sunday. Then before 10 am the staff started cleaning the tables making us feel rushed and unwelcomed. We came down and paid for breakfast at 930 and nothing was mentioned about when breakfast service would be ending it was buffet style with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, make your own waffles, bagels and assorted breads.

They have the biggest pool in Redding! It felt heated and the hot tub worked well along with the little kiddy pool. We always look forward to staying there for my husbands work conference!

We stayed with my husband and dog for 2 days in this hotel. Everything is good enough. But I give 4 stars because of the maid who broke into the room at the beginning of 10 a.m. I said we are still here, the departure is at 11 a.m. She went out, but after 20 minutes she started knocking on the door. I got up, opened the door and repeated my words earlier. Very strange behavior on the part of the maid in my opinion

Nice room and staff was helpful

Half the place was getting a repair. We booked because it had a bar. Friday night bar closed. Rooms smelled like smoke and weren’t that clean.

Good price and comfortable bed. This was a quick in and out, got in late and checked out early.
