I have stayed at this hotel for over 35 years. It’s the only hotel I will stay at in Redding. Nothing

Comfortable and affordable.Nice pool

Clean and quiet

It is undergoing remodeling, so some things were nice and some things still need work.

I loved everything the one thing is that there were no ubers for the train that left at 3 am, due to there was a shortage in ubers so anyhow, I felt like we didnt have any options at all and like no empathy from the staff at that moment even though I was crying they didnt offer me a glass of water I was solo travelling and I felt really scared... but anyhow the staff from the weekend was awesome!

The parking and balcony was conveniently located near each other Staff was rude and dismissive. Air conditioning was not working and staff offered no solution except for a $25 discount. Was unable to speak to management due to one not being available.

Location No elevator, place on the seconded floor in a hotel with low occupancy

Heads up that breakfast is AVAILABLE, not INCLUDED with your stay. We got it free because the AC was out, but it definitely was not worth the $10 they normally charge. Waffles were ok but the biscuits were stale and the sausage patties were terrible. Didn't dare try anything else. Definitely eat elsewhere. Otherwise a good experience, nice room with tasteful soap options, clean and even had a balcony. Note that there is not an elevator if that's an issue for you. Renovation were underway during our stay - not intrusive and will hopefully make for more nice rooms in the future. Lots of restaurants nearby but not quite walkable.

Check in staff man was very smarty when I checked he said I dont have room under your name? Jk very unprofessional. Myself daughter that is pregnant enter are room smells like marijuana it smelled so bad tried call front desk no answer so we opened up the windows! Bad experience so upsetting!

Would have been 5star but there is renovation in progress. We enjoyed our stay and used the hot tub and pool, which was nice.

So you might find some issues slow draining, AC not working and ect. My suggestion is to advertise that you guys are under construction/renovation And give discounts for people that choose to stay there under those conditions like myself

They have redone the rooms. And are working on the restaurant. I have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years. It’s absolutely a fantastic place to stay in Redding. The only thing I am waiting for is for them to go back to a full fine dining restaurant. Not real happy with the menu selection right now. But I made do. But the cocktails are fabulous still!!!!

The remodel of the hotel was an unknown and invasive deal. Looking forward to the remodel being done.

The staff was good...The beds were comfortable . I have stayed at the Red Lion in Redding many times and liked and no problem. This time I was in room 311 the bathroom smelled like Mildew I had no ice bucket, I asked for one and while I was out they brought one to my room but it was super dirty and no bag in it but ice so the ice was gross. My husband took the ice bucket down to the lobby they did apologize but didn't have a different one.. the remote for the TV was wonky...

Location right off the freeway. Little bit of a wet, moldy dog smell in the room. Felt itchy in the bed.

A clean and friendly place. Very comfortable.

We love coming here! Great pool, rooms, and on-site restaurants!
