Red Lion Hotel Redding

Property has great potential. It was a good place to sleep - rooms were clean and nice. Everything else is getting old and stale to the point of dis repair. Some areas are being renovated so that’s good to see. So, great potential for a great place to stay.

Great hours for pool and gym. Our AC was set pretty cold. Unable to adjust temperature. Called front desk - was told to just turn it off. We weren’t warn of the broken AC nor offered change of room. Dated carpet.

Best thing about the hotel was the pool. Everything else was simply average.

Room was nice and cool, pool is big and very refreshing, bar and food was nice to have on the property when needed.

Clean room, friendly staff. Pillows were very clumpy but comfortable bed! WiFi worked great and there’s breakfast in the morning! Our room also had a patio which was a nice surprise.

Across the street from a small casino, so it was possible to get a beer after 11:00 pm on a weeknight.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is undergoing major renovations currently so there are areas of construction but overall our stay was pleasant.

Amazing place. The pool was perfect

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 6mo. Old son and the room was never cleaned. The patio still had other people's trash on it and cigarette butts. The people who clean the rooms only came and dropped off new towels and toilet paper while we were out, leaving the pile of soiled sheets that we took off the bed cause our son had an accident. They just left them even though i know they saw them as they were right by the door as you walk in so we had to take one sheet from the other bed to use. Also the staff that checked us in was less then pleasant. This was my first and last stay here.

That was once a place now its old dirty carpet needs serious renovation

Entrance hallway/stairway to wing of building was dirty…. Filthy carpet, dirty walls, etc. Had a nice Keurig coffee maker with pods, but no coffee cups. Paint on walls of room chipped up. Room was clean as well as the bathroom was very clean. Main lobby/ desk seemed nice and clean, but the side of the property they put us on was pretty run down and dirty. Not terrible for the price, but kinda sketchy.

the employees were all very kind. the add-on breakfast was very average. (fine if you're in a time crunch) We ate there a number of days, but then decided to go elsewhere. The bed was comfortable. The people were very kind. There were people there that come every year because the pool is big. I would probably not choose it again.

Everything great except no elevator

When we checked in the staff had a terrible attitude checking us in, then when we got to our room The air conditioner either wouldn't turn on or wouldn't shut off. Housekeeping never showed up to take out the garbage or exchange our towels. I was informed when checking out that housekeeping only cleans the rooms every 3 days and if we needed housekeeping we needed to call and request it. I think they should have informed me when checking in that was their policy. My family has stayed there over the years and it seems that the quality has gone downhill. We not be staying there in the future.

No screens on patio or side glass doors so we can have fresh air instead of air conditioning. Air on top of that, wife sent her thumb when opening up setting glass door.
