Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport by IHG

Location. When we checked into our room, there were no towels. We notified the front desk, but she never did anything about it.

The customer service from front desk worker, Robin was pleasant!!

The hotel was overbooked so they upgraded us to a king suite, which was clean and spacious!

Staff were nice. Location good. Our room was dirty. Probably not cleaned from either last guest or an employee maybe staying in there. Beds had dirt or something on both of them, no towels, smelled bad, toilet seat broken, ice in the sink, curtain broken., could not bolt door. They did move us to another room. It seemed like it had at least been touched by housekeeping but still did not feel clean. Instead of staying two nights we checked out early and stayed somewhere else the next night.

I’ll never be back. Don’t believe the pictures on the website.

Front desk people where very nice but the rest the room was nasty had to help clean it after getting there at 8:30pm for it had not been cleaned Room was not ready and cleaned for our Arrival which was 8:30pm at night

I did not stay. The elevator was broken and the place was dirty so I left.

If you value cleanliness; this is the place for you.

This has to be the worse stay I’ve ever witnessed. The elevator didn’t work, the room was dirty half cleaned, my thermostat was off the wall sitting on the counter in the room, we had no towels the hallway smells like mildew it was just that bad. I would like to be refunded.

3 outlets didn't work, shower had mold, ceiling paint was peeling, found a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door the next day, and only coffee in room was expired decaf. Not a clean or comfortable hotel.

The kitchen was nice - full sized fridge, sink, dishwasher, dish soap, paper towels, and a small stove. The bathroom was large because we were put in an accessible room, but the tub wasn’t super clean and the water pressure wasn’t good. There are laundry facilities for free and a fitness center and patio with grill, but we didn’t use any of that. It’s a good central location to most everything and the rate was good. Parking was always easy.
