Super cute property, although I’m not sure there’s anything drawing me back to it for the next time. But clean, cute, easy to access, good to try!

Loved the retro style and vibe, and everything is fresh, modern, and clean. However the room was in the small side, no in-room coffee maker or microwave, and no on-premise breakfast options. For the price I expected a bit more. I’ll still consider it again next time, but will also keep looking at other options in the area.

So retro/mid century and adorable! The rooms are terrific. The property is in nice location and convenient to many places, including downtown. The pool was clean and stockec with towels and a pool float or two. The staff were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. We did go out and grabbed a coffee pot since there is not one in the room. We are already planning a return visit ans sharing the location with friends.

The stay was phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal and phenomenal. I absolutely loved it. The aesthetics and ambience was everything I needed for the trip that I was on. It really made me want to just sit in the room and chill. It is perfect for longer stays like 5 to 7+ days. Especially if you get the two room suite!! The Customer Service is Chick-fil-A level and beyond; where my pleasure doesn’t need to actually be said, it shows in the actions and non-verbal body cues of the employees. This will be my go to hotel every time I visit Southern, Virginia.

So glad that we chose this spot over the other hotels in the area. Talk about CHARM! There were so many little details that made this experience feel like a home away from home. The soft lighting in the room, the extra little cotton balls and qtips, the black embroidered makeup cloth by the sink. The mini fridge was super cute as well! The pillows were king sized and fluffy. The bed was comfy and the ac unit in the room was working perfectly in the mid July heat. We loved how friendly and helpful the staff were. They even have a cute little yellow camper by the pool for guests to get towels. Umbrellas, floats, and lounge chairs were plentiful. The owner took their time renovating the lodge and it shows!! My husband and I have already agreed to go back for next years getaway. You won’t regret booking your stay here! A special shoutout to Sammy in the office for being so sweet to us when we checked in.

Such an adorable gem. New and so cute and confy. Just like the old fashion travel lodges but updated.

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the experience. Everything is clean and new. The location is convenient. The pool is fabulous snd they provide towels for guests by a sweet retro trailer bar. The only suggestions would be to add some hooks/bar to hang towels by the sink and additional hook in the shower stall to hang wet bathing suits. We loved the place and will stay again when visiting our daughter who lives about 2 minutes away.

This renovated property is clean, well appointed, and overall a great value and great place to stay. We met both the owner and manager; you can tell how serious they both are about customer service and the brand they've created at the colony house. If you enjoy attention to detail, great location in Roanoke, and staff that care about what they're doing, stay here. We would stay again of on the area!

If you're looking to go back in time, too the days of roadside motels, this is the place for you! Impeccably restored in all its mid-century modern glory, The Colony House is full of fun and whimsy. I highly recommend a stay here when in the Roanoke area.

Very clean, very comfortable, good WiFi, great shower. On a busy road but did not notice any road noise in the room at all. All kinds of dining/shopping nearby if you need. Probably my go-to for Roanoke now.
