Hyatt Place Roanoke Airport/Valley View Mall

It wasn't the best, the room smelled unfresh, and they gave me lysol. And the breakfast was mid at the best. The reason of the low star is because the smell.

The common spaces of the hotel along with breakfast were what I would expect from Hyatt Place. However, the room was less to be desired. We were welcomed into our room with a loud, leaking tub with poor caulking job and dried bodily fluids on the top of one of the two beds. When we requested new bedding and a fix for our tub, we got a towel wrap around the faucet so it wouldn’t keep us up at night and a down comforter filler without the cover. Very disappointing. Throw in a shuttle service that wouldn’t load our own bags or come to us at the airport and we had to walk out to them, I think our next visit to the area will have us going to the other guy.

Exceptional

Room was clean and spacious, however the bathroom was too small not even enough room to walk into and shut the door without standing on an angle around toilet. Seems like the bathroom was an afterthought to the layout.

It was nice. It needs some updating. There was no soap in the room at all. I loved that they left bags of water like a doggy bag for people who left early before breakfast. Breakfast was good.

Bedroom mattress was caved in

This hotel deserves the highest possible rating! I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this experience truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional - from the warm welcome and attentive service to the beautiful, spotless rooms, attention to every detail, and a fantastic breakfast experience. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.

If you need to go to the airport this hotel is super convenient! It is very clean and the rooms are spacious.

Passable

The cleanliness situation at the property was abysmal. We found cockroaches in the bedroom, food crumbs inside the foldaway sofa-bed, scratches on the bedroom floor, stains on the bathroom ceiling, and one of us had what seemed like bed bug bites. We were not expecting this from a Hyatt brand. Property needs an immediate management overhaul.

Superb

Nice clean place, comfy beds The breakfast they offer. Eggs were nasty and area where they keep uutensils many spoons people were mixing in the used with the good ones and my son accidentally ate from a used spoon. There response was giving him a plastic spoon.

The room was clean and quiet. The staff were exceptionally kind. The continental breakfast was absolutely horrid. Powdered eggs, just don’t cut it, especially in the south. And the butter was frozen, which doesn’t help when you’re trying to spread it on a bagel.

Extremely clean, quiet, easy location for airport. Shuttle service and overnight parking for trips out of airport. Convenient to shopping and restaraunts. Wonderful staff and very good breakfast buffet.

The rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly. I needed a different blanket and the girl running the front desk, Hayley went and got me several blankets for my son. That is exceptional service. Then we checked out and my daughter thought she lost her phone in the room. I called in and spoke to another amazing front desk clerk, CJ and they offered to go look for it. Then they called me back to see if she knew where she might have left it in the room. We will definitely be going back.

Great place will stay again

It was a good experience. Clean room and bathroom. Great breakfast too.

Everything was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, Breakfast was delicious.

Super impressed that the kitchen opened early!!! I know it was for the airline crew but we were able to get more than just coffee. On the road before 6 am!!!
