Travelodge by Wyndham Roanoke

It is an abandoned hotel building that used to be a Travelodge, but cannot possibly be current under any franchise flag. It is being run as a flop house for weekly rentals to addicts and is a frightening place. We arrived after the cancelation time, so reluctantly got keys and looked at a room. It escapes me ro even try and articulate it other then saying it looks like an abandoned building untouched for 20 years. We handed back the keys and immediately left for fear for our family's safety. This property should be removed from Booking.com. The property should stick to weakly rentals to their client base and not try to pass themselves off as a normal hotel. I highly doubt this is currently part if Wyndham, and suspect they are illegitimately continuing to use their signage.

The location was great It was disgusting the room was dirty , the walls were literally falling apart and there were meth heads living in the hotel full time

I did not stay. The hotel was very dirty and had several people "camping" outside. I did not feel safe so I left and got a room somewhere else. Lost my $ because of this. I did not stay. This hotel needs a LOT of renovations. Very old and dated. Paint falling off walls. Lamps /electricity quite sketchy. Although the staff was helpful and friendly, the grounds outside had lots of trash. The bedding was frayed. The room was quiet but minimally decorated but what was there was clearly needing replaced. Plumbing needs attention as the toilet ran all night long and water pressure was quite low.

Near street so noisy, bed was sunken in the middle, floor dampness, fridge freezer section worked but was full of solid ice.

The hotel was dirty. Open electrical sockets. Missing tank cover for toilet. The shower area dirty and decaying. I am uploading pictures on Yelp and anywhere else I can find so that others will not be fooled by the description. Even after seeing all this Expedia still did not want to give me a refund.

Roaches in my daughters room, my son had to drive an hour to go get her. Manager refused to change rooms, refused to give refund. Strangers walking around and lose animals. I can’t believe travel lodge has this motel under there name. Do not stay here u would be better off sleeping in your car

Staff was not on site at checkout. You had to wait to get your required $100;cash deposit back. Staff and owner were rude, racist and greedy. I was told I had to provide ID for my minor children? Because they wanted to charge my 15 yr old for an adult.

The smoke alarm wires were exposed, some of the lights were not working, the phone was not working, the toilet was filthy and not working as was the tub dirty. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!!!! Read the above!

The Motel was beyond dirty. The base board was falling off the wall and there were holes in the sheets from cigarettes burns. There was a broken mirror, hair in the towels and a dirty wash cloth in the sink. That is inside not to mention the shady activity and trash outside the room. I do not recommend and would never stay here again.
