    2. After checking in we were told to park on the side of the building where there was good lighting. There was an old broken down truck with flat tires by the entrance door. The door was NOT locked. 3. We go up the stairs to the second floor and all you could smell in the hall was marijuana. The room was a good size but it was very dated. Fortunately, upon checking the bed there were no bedbugs, thank God. 4. After returning from dinner, we heard a ruckus in the hallway and there was 2 policemen with a woman in handcuffs and one of the policemen was in the room with a man. The woman was screaming at the cops & was clearly under the influence of "something". 5. Later my son went to the car to get something and the lady at the registration desk was out there having a cigarette. She asked my son to make sure the door was closed tight when he went back in because other guests leave the door open so their friends & homeless people can get in. 6. I have traveled quite a bit and I have never experienced anything remotely close to this. I am grateful we only had to stay there one night.

Expedia should be ashamed to even have this hotel on their site and have it offerd to customers. This place was soo dirty and run down. I did not stay and booked at another hotel. T

I’m going to start out saying the room was very clean. It looked as though the staff had ran out to Walmart and bought new sheets, pillows and a blanket along with new towels. The bathroom was clean, no amenities, and the carpet had been freshly vacuumed. This is the first hotel I have ever looked for bedbugs. The lobby appeared to be an easy fifty years old with no updates and the hallways although very wide were dirty. They had not been vacuumed in a very long time. As I left the hotel in early evening a younger couple approached me and said someone had approached them and told them not to go to the far end of the lot because there were gang members in the corner. There were people in several rooms but no cars in the parking lot only mine and the young couples. I was very uncomfortable with the location of my room, it was at the very far end of a hallway and I believe I was the only reservation in that location. The elevator did work but for some reason when I asked to see the room the desk clerk had us walk down several hallways then up the stairs when the elevator would have been around the corner. Needless to say instead of staying for the original five nights I had booked I only stayed one night then moved on to a hotel that better represented itself. I believe I booked the Cortina through Hotels.com and am quite surprised they would recommend a hotel with such poor standards. The Cortina should be removed from the listings. My card has been credited.

Front desk person, only saw one, was nice, cordial, informative and efficient. We knew the place did not come with amenities, so didn't expect much. We had brought our own bottles of water. Our room was good for just cheap 1-2 night stay as our only needs were to sleep, shower, personal care there. Air conditioner/heat worked well. Beds good condition and clean. Bathroom was stocked well. Sink and shower both worked very well, toilet old rust stains, but did serve our needs. The rooms did not appear clean, kinda sticky and dusty. Parking lot very empty, and had security concerns. My impression was it seemed as though the place is being primarily used to house the poor, homeless - maybe as this is just my observation/opinion. Do not recommend.

Hotel is under going renovations. Staff was very helpful. Room was fine, clean and quiet.

The reason I gave it all 5 stars is because there upfront and honest they are remodeling so everything is down but Atleast ice machine was working. Room was clean and comfortable and beds were great. Great working tv with good channels. I was doing an event in the Rutland area and I’m up from Tampa Bay Florida so I got to watch my Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay rays all on the TV here so stay was perfect. Hotel very quiet bc they are remodeling and only have few rooms open

Absolutely, positively, the worst hotel I have ever been to. The man working the desk was nice, but THAT WAS IT. It appears that multiple people LIVE there, but there was not one other patron besides my sons and I. There was only one vehicle in the parking lot, and it had 4 flat tires. The people who did live there, looked like they were from the Walking Dead. Absolutely disgusting place.

Not much. Abandoned cars and trash littered the parking lot. Almost zero water pressure to shower. Heater was very loud.

Junkies in the parking lot. About 6 broken down cars and 10 old broken bicycles parked on the front side of the building that look like had been there all winter. It used to house the druggies and homeless. I felt unsafe parking there. The restaurant was closed, pool closed, zero amenities, the hallways smell of smoke and mold with torn carpet that easily could be tripped on. It’s just horrible horrible. We were to guys splitting a room and we both would sleep anywhere with a bed generally and this was just gross and sketchy and Expedia should be ashamed to have it listed on their site.

It is clean, and the beds were comfortable, but it is a dump otherwise. I would not stay for more than just a place to sleep for one night.

AC OK. IF MY BROTHER INLAW OR MYSELF HAD BEEN WITH OUR SPOUSES, WE WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT AND TAKEN OUR LOSSES. SOMETHING SHADDY ABOUT THE PLACE. OH BY THE WAY, USUALLY HOTELS OFFER DAILY ROOM CLEANING.

So dirty we drove home instead of staying there.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

    Run down, needs updating.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

But, the bed was new and comfortable and the price was right so on balance I’ll take it.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

My room was clean and the TV was 40 inches. but other than that, it was the worst hotel i've ever been in. It is saved because it is $150 and near Killington. I think this property is on verge of bankruptcy. broken railings, pool is empty, front desk is generally only available by phone, no hot water, filthy carpet throughout, no locked doors as all card readers are broken or non-existent
