Super 8 by Wyndham St. Cloud

Nothing When I arrived at the property there was a large sign on the door saying the state Health Department had closed the property. I am being charged for my stay even though I did not stay there.

It was shut down by the Health Dept on Monday, Sept 14, 2026 and I was not notified.

Turning on the bathroom sink you can smell a bad oder. Bed sheets was clean but had holes. All the chairs were dirty.

The proprietor was gracious and very accommodating, and the room was quiet with an excellent shower. The amenities were scant. Don’t bother with the “breakfast.”

Fridge and microwave were clean. Bathroom is very small but was clean. Bathroom door needs an alignment to close properly.

Great location for what we needed to see and do. Had issues at check in but was quickly resolved. Maintenance was being done on upper floors so no access when we arrived. Otherwise no complaints

The best thing about our state, was the very clean bed. The light didn't work in our room, the toilet barely flushed, and there was a dodgy white stain on the wood floor. Unfortunately the breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread a waffle and a pancake machine with nothing else I'm unsure if the coffee was fresh but it seemed like it was and the juice was good.

Check in was fine. Staff were polite. Service was prompt. Everything in the building is dirty and worn out. Holes in the carpet and walls. The room I got smelled like cigarette smoke. The kind of long-term smoke damage that won't go away. All of my belongings and myself smelled of smoke in the morning. My eyes were irritated all day the next day. There was a sign on the wall at the foot of the 2nd floor staircase from the city of St. Cloud building inspector that condemned the 2nd floor saying unfit for habitation. The deadbolt on my door would not engage and the window in the room would not lock and had no screen. Anybody could go into the room.

They didn’t have breakfast Nothing about this place was good. Holes in floor, pubic hairs on toilet, shower didn’t drain, stop work order, carpet was filthy, mattress was severely stained, tile floors were slimy, microwave was dirty, pillows were lumpy, the room stunk like gym socks, and the sink was dirty. Very disgusting

The staff were friendly and responsive. Our friends had an issue with their door lock, and it was repaired promptly, which was appreciated . The photos on the website were quite misleading compared to the actual room. When we first walked in, there was a noticeable wet dog kind of smell. After turning on the air conditioner and using some room spray, the odor improved somewhat, but it wasn’t a great first impression. The room also showed quite a bit of wear. The chair in the corner was heavily stained to the point that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting in it. The bedding had a yellow stain on one of the sheets, and the top blanket had a large burn hole. I wish I had taken pictures.

Very run down. No fruit not much of a breakfast.

Location Mold on walls and ceiling. The upstairs of the motel is shut down because of plumbing and mold and electrical issues. This should have been noted on the website.
