Candlewood Suites Salina by IHG

The front desk lady! Very sweet lady! She was very up front with us and was stuck with the rotten end of the deal. We felt sorry that she had to deal with it because the management refused to come in or even answer her phone when we ask to speak with her. They had some how over book our room then gave it to the party that just booked it when I booked our room mid August. Then the manager wanted to us to pay the same price but for two single rooms n charge us double the price of our original room. Long story short we did not stay there for our trip. We went to Best Western. The management from Candlewood was supposed to call me the next morning but no surprise she never did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT CANDLEWOOD SUITES!

The only negative was the lobby was non existent. Basically a front desk in a hall. The room was also pretty tight for 2 people, but maybe that’s just us. Not much room on either side of the bed.

Great price, good room layout, comfy bed, super clean. It felt super humid in the room, and the folks in the room above ours were extremely noisy (like stomping) every night. Not the staff’s fault, but aggravating. Better coffee creamer and more coffee would also be appreciated.

Exceptional

Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to arrive at the front seat to check me in at 7 pm. Also the frozen entrees in the hotel store were all freezer burnt. The night shift front desk clerk said “it’s fine” when clearly it wasn’t. Very poorly run.

Very clean rooms close to restaurants and shops.

This hotel was clean and the staff was helpful, but our room smelled very musty and there was a high pitch noise that randomly kept happening and it woke us up multiple times. The shower also had issues because the water was not draining properly, causing me to stand in an inch of water the whole time I showered. The water pressure was also terrible. I’d only recommend this hotel if you’re trying to save a buck and won’t be staying long

Decent for the price and a quick overnight stay.

Well stocked pantry you can buy food from, full size refrigerator and pets are very welcome.

Front desk back office that's visible to customers checking in is full of clutter.

Friendly staff. Quiet. Overall good experience. We come to the area from time to time and will stay here again. Also gave us a ball and some treats for our dog. Very pet friendly.

It was a pleasure to be greeted and checked in by friendly front desk clerk.

Clean room, comfortable bed, well equipped to cook dinner and breakfast. Very nice staff. Close to a grocery store and many restaurants. Backs up to the highway, so you can hear cars all night. There are earplugs left in the room. Didn’t bother us, but could be troublesome to light sleepers.

The beds were extremely comfortable. Beautiful grounds with patio and bbq for guests. Not much. Check in person could have explained that there was more parking in back.
