Best Western Salinas Monterey Hotel

Breakfast was horrible!! Didn't eat there the second day. No good fruit. No oatmeal,only in a package. No bananas. No cranberry juice. Eggs were disgusting along with the sausage.

Overall good hotel. Busy parking lot at times due to neighboring businesses. Coffee in the lobby was not very good.

Room was clean, staff friendly, everything went well

A horrible experience that traumatized my wife and kids. Unfortunately, we are BW members. The receptionist #1 rejected our request for an hour late checkout, which is normally geanted ar any hotel we stayed in the last 25 years. Then she threatened us to call the police only for asking her to provide her name on a paper. As a result, we rushed out and forgot an expensive shoes at the room. She indicated her manager's name is #2, but when we called, #3 picked up and said he's the manager alongside #2. #3 could not resolve any of these issues. We called back to speak to #2, he on the other hand said he's just a receptionist, not a manager and I should call the customer care for BW.

The front desk was very helpful and the room was amazingly clean and smelled like a five star hotel!

Parking was a problem. The hotel and the McDonald's share the same parking lot, so if you go out for an event as we did, when you get back to hotel it is a problem because traffic going into the McDonalds drive thru is blocking the entrance to get into the parking lot to the hotel.

Larry, Peter, Fernando and Patel at the front desk were the sweetest kindest friendliest front desk staff I’ve come across in a very long time. The room was very clean just an average hotel room. But as soon as it turned 10:01 they would not let us make a waffle but other than that 10 out of 10 would recommend going again just because of the excellent customer service at the front desk!

Overall, things were not bad, but the carpeting in our room needed cleaning, and there was a gray streak of dirt in the toilet, suggesting it hadn't been scrubbed. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly.

Property needs updating but staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was sufficient and room was great for the night’s stay.

Clean room and bedding.

The young man that checked us in and out was very friendly. Provided us with water which we really needed! The room was very clean! The food was not the best. Sausage was undercooked, waffle batter was chunky and didn’t cook correctly. Coffee was horrible it tastes like overused coffee grounds. The gal that was maintaining it seemed annoyed by people touching anything after she just cleaned. She offer for in the way if guests trying to serve themselves! I ate the waffles but put place an order at McDonalds for the trip home!

Good property with helpful staff to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast area gets busy quickly due to a small space but the staff handled everything efficiently to keep things moving. Rooms are clean which is always good to see & McDonald's is right across the property. Parking fills up pretty fast due to that.
