Courtyard by Marriott Salinas Monterey

The TV was broken and I called the front desk to exchange it for another one and they never did.

Room smelled and there was a few structural problems in the bathroom

The room we were given after stating that there were allergies involved had a stale musty mildew smell to it. We opened the window and turned on the air to get things aired out. By midnight we were having breathing issues. The assistant manager stated the air conditioner needed to be cleaned and offered a refund. We left to find another hotel and now they are not providing any refund.

Staff members were very helpful and the room was perfect for getting a good nights rest!

Decent rooms but no free breakfast was a disappointment

Linda is a tremendous asset to the Courtyard brand and sets the standard for hospitality. Because of her exceptional service, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Salinas area. Thank you, Linda, for making my visit such a positive experience!

Everyone was friendly and everything was very clean! Smooth check in and out.

Clean rooms , stuff was so friendly

The room was clean enough and the staff was great, however, the room had a strong, very overpowering smell of mildew. The staff was nice enough to comp breakfast due to this. There was a VERY loud party going on all night near the property (obviously the hotel had no power over this) that did not end until almost 2 am so I barely got any sleep.

The staff were very nice, but we were kept up til 1:30 am, and then awakened at 5 am, by what I can only assume were elephants playing basketball in the room above us. (I’m pretty sure it was a soccer team, I saw some of them checking in) I went downstairs at 1am to ask the young lady at the front desk for help, and she said she’d call the room. Not much changed though, and I had to resort to “sleeping” in my AirPods with music going, and all the fans in the room going. The rooms around them must have been empty, because I can’t imagine I was the only one dealing with the noise. I wish she had sent to security guard up there instead of just calling the room (where the kids probably wouldn’t have even answered the phone.)

The place was clean and comfortable. It was good enough for the price. If you’re on a budget, I do recommend it here. It was not bad.
