Best value for money at location near SLC Intl.

No elevator which was a bummer for having as much stuff as we had. Breakfast was good, and the two on site restaurants were also good. Pool was closed due to maintenance. It looked like the closed sign had been up for a while. That was a huge bummer because we chose the place solely because it had a pool for our kids to swim. Despite these complaints it was a decent room and staff were all kind.

It was a nice surprise that there was an outdoor pool! There was also 24 hour coffee that was quite good, as well as an on site restaurant. All staff that we ran across were very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel needs a ton of updating, and the rooms could be much cleaner. If we hadn't arrived after midnight, I probably would have searched for another hotel. The friendly staff truly made a big difference. There was a convenient shuttle to and from the airport.

I booked this hotel through Expedia because the photos made it look clean, updated, and family-friendly for my vacation with my two teenage children. Unfortunately, the hotel looked nothing like the listing. Although the front desk staff was friendly, the property was poorly maintained. There was no elevator, the hallways had a strong unpleasant odor, and parts of the hotel appeared unfinished. The room looked outdated rather than renovated, with stained lampshades, a broken lamp outlet, creaky beds, visible mold around the bathtub, and a coffee maker next to the bathroom sink. Most importantly, I did not feel safe or comfortable staying there with my children. Instead of enjoying our vacation, I spent the night worrying about our surroundings. We checked out after one night, even though our reservation was for eight nights, and had to pay for another hotel. To make matters worse, we only occupied the room from about 2:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., yet the hotel refused to refund us for the unused portion of our stay. I have photos documenting the condition of the property because, in my opinion, the online listing does not accurately reflect the hotel's current condition. I hope this review helps other travelers make an informed decision.

Room was dirty and the air conditioning did not cool the room. The hallway was cooler than our room. We slept ontop of the sheets all night.

The staff was nice

Two different restaurants on site, choices for everyone. Close to car rental place. Free shuttle to the airport.

The pictures on the website are AI. Add a good 30 years and no upkeep to the pictures for what it really looks like. It was very dirty. The bar tried to charge me an uncharge saying the hotel does that for no reason. Totally against the law the way they tried to slip that in there. Someone is just helping themselves to little extra money.Double check your receipt!! The room was filthy you could see spilt stuff on everything. My tire had a big bolt in it in the morning. Asked the front desk to review cameras and was told the cameras were not working because they have to start paying a charge to another company and that has not started yet. Breakfast was disgusting. There was like 5 items and everything was diluted down to save money. Big waste of my money and time. I got no sleep from being grossed out by the filth around me. I would never stay here again not even for free.

AC worked great in the room, however it must have been on the fritz in the lobby, as it was quite warm. Room was very clean and comfortable

My stay at Suburban Studios Salt Lake City was not that great. A lot of the amenities that were promised during the stay were either broken or not easy to use. For example, the hairdryer was broken and had to be replaced. Also, the faucet in the bathroom only had one working handle. The other one was broken. My friend who was staying with me, asked for a pan to use for the hot top burner and they gave her the wrong one. Then when we tried to use it, of course it didn’t work. The Wi-Fi did not work for most of the trip and we only got it to work after complaining twice about it. They finally brought maintenance over to fix the things that were wrong in the room. They provided a refrigerator, but we could barely open the door to use it. They also never brought a blanket up to our room when we requested one. I was hoping that they would provide liquid soap but they only had tiny bar soaps. We had to go buy our own. The continental breakfast was good, but their waffle maker did not cook the waffles all the way through.

Tv had no free options.

There was a half empty bottle of water in the fridge. The fridge opened about 4 inches before hitting the bed so we had to shift everything together (2 beds, middle stand), and up against the air conditioning unit to make it work. It was then we found a piss bottle. We got the kitchenette because we were going to be there for 5 days. Zero dishes, we had to buy everything. Sink faucet was used once because the second you turned it on water sprayed everywhere and the sink would not drain. How was this missed and never fixed by the hotel amazes me. So we wasted money on dishes because of the sink. Wish we would have tested the sink prior but oh well. Luckily we drove from NY to SLC for the Monster Jam Finals so we took the dishes and food back with us. We check everything before we go and it was then we found a very molded rag under the bathroom cabinet where they stored the clean towels. Tweakers RULED the grounds. They were everywhere and 1 was even on the ground outside with the trash can pulling everything out. Fire department was there once; cops showed up daily. Breakfast was consumed once; everyone got diarrhea. Counters were badly stained and my 9yo grandson wrapped up in the sheets and the next morning you can see just how bad the pee stains were on the mattress. I'm not even close to being done. Either way, we got pictures prior, during and after. I've never had to do that before and all I do is travel. I almost want to drop Choice Hotels because of this.

The staff was wonderful. They were nice. They explained everything and they’re there 24 hours a day so you don’t have to worry about not having anybody to go to. They have great amenities. The room was clean and it was quiet. We’ll stay again.
-
The pictures are definitely AI enhanced. The property does NOT look as nice as pictures. Earwigs in bathroom. Bed uncomfortable. Noisy AC unit. Asked if we could cancel our stay and get refund and was told no sinywe paid in advance. Don’t stay at this place.

I asked several times to switch rooms but was denied because " I had a bad attitude and was brought up wrong" according to Prince, who is a very well practiced liar. When I spoke to the GM, I won't go into all the details of his continued denial of a problem, saving that for a formal complaint to Clarion, including pictures of no internet and no tv. When I soke to the GM, explained my issue and I just wanted a room with internet, he was cordial, promised to stop by my room to verify the problem. Never showed. This is a very shoddy way to treat customers. In addition, the room had no tv guide, no hotel guide, so I knew nothing about the fitness center, check out time, breakfast hours, amenities, etc... I tried calling the front desk for a wake up call, they never answered the phone. I had to call the hotel on my cell phone in order to get them to answer. This is a 3rd world management team trying to run a first world hotel and it's a disaster. Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Staff is doing the very bare minimum, you can expect these items in even the very cheapest hotels.

Overall the hotel place served its purpose. Thank you!
