My stay at Suburban Studios Salt Lake City was not that great. A lot of the amenities that were promised during the stay were either broken or not easy to use. For example, the hairdryer was broken and had to be replaced. Also, the faucet in the bathroom only had one working handle. The other one was broken. My friend who was staying with me, asked for a pan to use for the hot top burner and they gave her the wrong one. Then when we tried to use it, of course it didn’t work. The Wi-Fi did not work for most of the trip and we only got it to work after complaining twice about it. They finally brought maintenance over to fix the things that were wrong in the room. They provided a refrigerator, but we could barely open the door to use it. They also never brought a blanket up to our room when we requested one. I was hoping that they would provide liquid soap but they only had tiny bar soaps. We had to go buy our own. The continental breakfast was good, but their waffle maker did not cook the waffles all the way through.

There was a half empty bottle of water in the fridge. The fridge opened about 4 inches before hitting the bed so we had to shift everything together (2 beds, middle stand), and up against the air conditioning unit to make it work. It was then we found a piss bottle. We got the kitchenette because we were going to be there for 5 days. Zero dishes, we had to buy everything. Sink faucet was used once because the second you turned it on water sprayed everywhere and the sink would not drain. How was this missed and never fixed by the hotel amazes me. So we wasted money on dishes because of the sink. Wish we would have tested the sink prior but oh well. Luckily we drove from NY to SLC for the Monster Jam Finals so we took the dishes and food back with us. We check everything before we go and it was then we found a very molded rag under the bathroom cabinet where they stored the clean towels. Tweakers RULED the grounds. They were everywhere and 1 was even on the ground outside with the trash can pulling everything out. Fire department was there once; cops showed up daily. Breakfast was consumed once; everyone got diarrhea. Counters were badly stained and my 9yo grandson wrapped up in the sheets and the next morning you can see just how bad the pee stains were on the mattress. I'm not even close to being done. Either way, we got pictures prior, during and after. I've never had to do that before and all I do is travel. I almost want to drop Choice Hotels because of this.

The staff was wonderful. They were nice. They explained everything and they’re there 24 hours a day so you don’t have to worry about not having anybody to go to. They have great amenities. The room was clean and it was quiet. We’ll stay again.

The pictures are definitely AI enhanced. The property does NOT look as nice as pictures. Earwigs in bathroom. Bed uncomfortable. Noisy AC unit. Asked if we could cancel our stay and get refund and was told no sinywe paid in advance. Don’t stay at this place.

I asked several times to switch rooms but was denied because " I had a bad attitude and was brought up wrong" according to Prince, who is a very well practiced liar. When I spoke to the GM, I won't go into all the details of his continued denial of a problem, saving that for a formal complaint to Clarion, including pictures of no internet and no tv. When I soke to the GM, explained my issue and I just wanted a room with internet, he was cordial, promised to stop by my room to verify the problem. Never showed. This is a very shoddy way to treat customers. In addition, the room had no tv guide, no hotel guide, so I knew nothing about the fitness center, check out time, breakfast hours, amenities, etc... I tried calling the front desk for a wake up call, they never answered the phone. I had to call the hotel on my cell phone in order to get them to answer. This is a 3rd world management team trying to run a first world hotel and it's a disaster. Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Staff is doing the very bare minimum, you can expect these items in even the very cheapest hotels.

The front desk came and knocked on our door and said there were only 2 guests allowed in our room. We told them we had 2 friends over and there was a total of 4 people in my room including myself getting ready for a dinner party ans they told us we had to leave. I didnt get my deposit back. They said house keeping was complaining ? Will NEVER STAY HEREAGAIN

Breakfast was fresh; however there were no low carb/gluten free options for my friend. The airport shuttle was a good option. I was allowed to sleep in, while my friend took the shuttle bus.

    Perfect for my needs!

Clean and convenient. Comfortable for a multi day stay with my dog. However, Microwave so low that you have to stand on your head to use it.

Great shower pressure! On-site restaurant & separate bar for lunch/dinner and free bkfst. Clean room, helpful staff, shuttle to/fro airport pretty timely.

Poor service and high crime area. Dirty and smelly rooms.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

It was an okay room. Could be cleaner. We found sandals under the bed that weren’t ours. The staff was nice, but we did have a few problems with our room. Overall wouldn't stay here again. Only if it were my last option.

Stay away from this awful service and dirty hotel

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Clean property, friendly staff, and great breakfast.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

It was definitely smaller than expected and the pool was not in working condition which was a disappointment because the website said the pool was going to be open.

The hair dryer in the room did not work. Although we were given a non-smoking room, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The exhaust fan was not working, so the smoke odor could not be removed. There was also a strong moldy smell throughout the room. Housekeeping did not clean the room or remove trash for two days, so we had to deal with the accumulated garbage ourselves. Management repeatedly promised to address the issues but took little to no action. I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to others. The breakfast was average at best. Many items frequently ran out, and replenishment was very slow. Since many guests were on tight schedules, this was frustrating. I question the authenticity of some of the positive reviews. Based on my experience, I cannot understand why this hotel receives such high ratings.

On top of that, the Wi-Fi was not working at all, and the bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain, causing water to splash everywhere when showering. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained and not properly prepared for new guests. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and service.
