Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk

We really enjoyed our stay, we had a faulty TV and the engineer there came up and gave us a brand new TV and was super nice and helpful! Everyone was super helpful

I never received a message from valet regarding my pick up for my car, I asked about it and they said they would send one, no message. Went to get my car the next morning and they asked for my # off of my message that I never got. The shade in our room was broken so we had to try and sleep with the bright light shining in the window. Reported to the front desk and she really didn't care.

Not enough luggage carts, staff did not help in getting more for us to use.

Parking sucks, an extra $200!!

They couldn't contact her so , @ 3A somehow they figured out who I was and called me to come retrieve it. Above all Adam at guest services went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant 🙃I would highly recommend them

We paid for valet and when my vehicle was brought back to me it smelled like marijuana. The entire vehicle. I did inform the lady at the front desk and she stated she would issue a refund for valet but did not apologize and said your refund will take care of that. I find that very unprofessional and disrespectful for someone to be smoking inside someone else vehicle.

The location is perfect if you are in town to visit the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Both are within a few minutes walk.

The listing on Expedia shows the pool has a bar and breakfast is included, to which neither is true, so head's up. Everything else was great, though, and a great location downtown.

At check in, we were only told about the hotel’s location near the Alamo and River Walk. We were not given the hotel information sheet or told about any of the facilities. We only discovered on our final morning that there was a rooftop pool, which was extremely frustrating as we would have used it throughout our stay - had we known!!!!! Breakfast was also handled very poorly. We had breakfast included in our booking, but the staff directed us to order from the menu or pay $20 per person and then attempted to charge us for the items on the menu!!! Nobody asked for our room number or checked whether breakfast was included before taking the order. This gave us the impression that guests may routinely be charged without their booking details being properly checked, potentially resulting in additional charges and tips that should not apply. BE AWARE OF THIS. Overall, the room and facilities were good, but guests cannot make use of the facilities that they are not told about. Better communication at check-in and a more transparent breakfast process would have made a significant difference to our stay. This resulted in us having a bad post-feeling about this stay overall.

Great hotel, great location, clean pool. The building engineer definitely takes pride in his job. This was our second stay and I would stay again!
