Kimpton Santo San Antonio - Riverwalk by IHG

I expected LUXURY. This was just a clean, overpriced hotel. Nothing impressive. Although staff was friendly and it was clean, it’s missing that EXTRA that would make it luxurious and you would not mind paying more.

We will stay on inside rooms next time. We feel other than street noise, this is a 5 star place. The Hotel is gorgeous. The Staff friendly and efficient. Overall a wonderful experience.

Our room was dirty when we walked in - we went back to the desk and they were so helpful setting us up with the same room, just different number!

Excellent hotel. All of the staff were welcome and friendly. Isla was lovely at check in and followed up on how our stay was. Our room was very clean and when I needed more towels the staff that cleaned the rooms were able to accommodate quickly. The location is in a trendy area full of some great foody spots away from the tourist traps which we appreciated. It’s in walking distance to Riverwalk. We had breakfast there it was very good, and had drinks downstairs bar 2x and upstairs bar 1x. Servers were friendly & great at taking orders and making suggestions. There was a coffee bar in the morning but both times there was no coffee left, not a big deal for me because I was able to try fantastic coffee spots close by (try Maverick coffee’s Mexican iced coffee!) I used the gym a few times, very clean with plenty of equipment choices including Peloton bikes which I appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel has a rooftop pool, gym and a restaurant/lounge with great views of the city. They had daily drinks and coffee also the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Valet staff was pretty bad - Not about wait times but courtesy and helpfulness. I was loading out and had three or four bags - I dropped them and as I was trying to pick them up, the woman just stared at me. No comment or nothing. Kind of rude. The others just blankly stared when you asked a question and barely engaged when I pulled in.
