Hotel 1550 - SFO Airport

Basic hotel. Ok complementary breakfast. Nice they stored our bags . Area seems safe. On a busy street with no green spaces . Close to airport , free shuttle. Clean rooms but scratched and chipped walls/baseboards. Shower area not great - no tub and large locker room style standing shower with huge curtain. I couldn't figure out how to turn shower on , with no time before departure to get staff to help .

After the initial positive check-in at the front desk the passage to the room was like entering a time warp back to the ‘80s or ‘90s, the stand of vending machines in lieu of any sort of restaurant facility, goods type snail paced elevator up to a stuffy airless room offering barely space for two Queen size beds let alone up to four adults and their luggage. Antiquated noisy AC, characterless bathroom.

This was a stopover for us and totally fit our needs. Building is old and dated, but very clean and convenient. Beds and pillows comfy. A must when you need to rest up from travels. Space is limited, especially in the free breakfast area. Pack and go is best . Front desk friendly, but it appeared that international Travellers had a bit of prearranged lack of communication. Not sure who's error hear. But that led to a delay with our check-in process, and a good deal of empathy for Int'l guests trying to check in. A note to such Travellers, be very clear on check-in requirements when booking. Especially related to form od payments and alterations to booking. Other than that, cleanliness was most important to us as weary Travellers

Its convenient for a short night stay, bed were comfortable and the linens were clean the breakfast was simple but nice The shuttle was every hour so longer wait at the airport, the room was ok , could be slightly cleaner there was chewing gums stuck on the wall.

We stayed four nights and we never heard other guest making noises. Looks like they don't attract party crowds. Dirty windows and the the shuttle bus driver did not stoped to pick us up so we had to wait for the next one, an extra hour.

I stay at this hotel often. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take the time to explain everything to you. Parking is very good and close to many restaurants.

clean and quiet nothing

We had a very early flight out of SFO. We were dropped off at hotel, very comfortable beds and it had a refrigerator. The free shuttled was convenient. The shuttle was packed. It stops at several hotels, luckily our was one of the first so we got a seat.

Location

Near Airport, offers shuttle service. Good if needing to be near airport, not near anything else though. Hotel was "near airport" because of the highway it was still a 15 minute drive and 20-30$ uber. Also nothing in the area other than the airport, you will need to uber to get anywhere.

Clean and comfortable with free shuttle that goes every hour during the day to the airport. Uber was going to be $25 so the shuttle was nice, though it took more than 20 minutes to get there because it stops at other hotels. The reason for the low stars is at the breakfast and coffee is very bad.

I would not park and fly from this hotel again. I would have had to wait an hour for the return shuttle. They do not come every half hour. Took an uber for 22$ instead to get to my car . Overcharging on parking when I could get it for 11$ a day down the street at the Dylan. Not happy about that. I will stay at the Dylan next time I fly

Value for money

Stayed here while attending a concert in Stanford, and it met our expectations. The room was clean, the wifi was reliable, and there was no problem with hot water in the shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, assisting with luggage storage and arranging the airport shuttle. The lobby has coffee and water, as well as tables where I could work while waiting for my flight. If you're looking for an affordable, clean, and convenient (very close to the airport) place to stay, this hotel could be it. There are a good number of restaurants around. While the hotel is very convenient to SFO Airport, there isn't much within the immediate surrounding area. The complimentary breakfast was very meh, but it was okay for us since we were travelling and planned to eat out anyway.

Staff was friendly. Shuttle to airport was on time and convenient. Proximity to airport was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Noise from traffic was loud.
