Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

Wonderful staff. Great location. The only disappointing thing was the pool area. It looks great in the pictures but it's a pretty small space, and the pool was too cold to go in, despite there being a heatwave. I think because the area doesn't get sun because of the tall buildings, the water needs to be heated.

One of the best hotel I ever see like service,staff and parking,clean room or Evan breakfast was yummy.

Everything was great. I did think it was completely strange that when I left my room to go downstairs to check out, this housekeeping person asked me as I was walking by what room I just left. I kept walking because I didn't think it was appropriate for her to ask. She chased me down to the elevator and asked me again. I asked "why". She walked away. Still scratching my head over this. Perfect stay. Odd housekeeper kind of marred my overall experience.

I liked the location. The pool deck was depressing, the windows were dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, the rooftop bar didn't have a very good vibe, the jacuzzi was broken the majority of our stay

Nice hotel, but they don’t honor the rates that are booked and offer zero customer service after.

Location Room Stuff Dirty windows obstructed the view Breakfast was included in the room rate but still got charged for it in the morning when having it.

Parking is not well arranged as they charge $75 for valet. Hidden fee of $40 as a "resort fee" that is extra upon discharge and not obvious when booking,

Very clean and always a great stay. The staff is always so kind. I have book a stay I think 3 times. My favorite hotel in SD. Will always come back.

We’ve stayed at the Carte many times and loved it. But the last two visits, we noticed a big change. After a long day exploring San Diego, wanted to relax before heading out for the evening, room was not clean. We had to ask not once but twice to clean our room. We ask if they can replenish the water in the room and the front desk said the first two waters are complementary the bottles are reusable to fill up ourselves. Water machine is next to the elevators not convenient for the price of the rooms. It’s unfortunate, the hotel is in a good location.

Exceptional

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at In San Diego. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. Nice rooftop bar and lounge. Food was delicious!
