Motel 6 San Diego, CA - Downtown

Room smelled nasty There was a leak in the room. My boyfriend slipped and fell, the roof was practically falling down!

However the property was not clean and poorly maintained. Despite the rooms clearly stating no smoking my room smelled very strongly of cigarettes, and the smoke detector had a bag taped over it so a prior tenant could smoke in the room. Additionally, there was grime on the floor In the restroom and used bar of soap behind the sink and in the shower.

Nothing. Everything.

Air was out the Room was dirty and lights were off staff was mostly rude. Had to check in late and still had to change rooms, made us park else where and pay

Cheap motel in a down sliding area. Got what I paid for.

Dirty floors, clogged sinks, sticky sheets, rock hard pillows, curtain pulled off the track, no manager on duty, and good luck trying to get a refund. The managers will spin you in circles telling you to deal only with the booking system, then calling you while you're busy, and Expedia will tell you that your refund has been declined, but give you no explanation, email or communication why. I repeat, do not stay here. I was like you once, looking for an affordable place to stay in San Diego to see the Zoo. I saw reviews like this and thought, well, it can't be that bad, or maybe it was a one off. Its so much worse than you can imagine.

The window was not secured. I stayed for over a week, but my room was cleaned only once, when I finally asked for it.

I wouldn't want to stay there multiple days but for a stop a shower and some sleep, it works!

We got off our flight Ubered to our hotel and was so disappointed when we got there . Omg no! Travel with partner . Not safe . Nasty. Dogs . People live there ! Run!we left and had to find another hotel on a holiday weekend . But we got a new clean hotel

Disgusting hotel. it was really one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at.

Worst place ever I stay. Room was very small . When I was reserving on the pictures it was different room. They give me totally different and dirty and small room. I will never again stay in that nasty place. Worst place in the world.

No security deposit hold They charge for parking. The room wasn’t clean properly. The staff wasn’t nice.

Now the not so great: 1) The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the smoke alarm had been ripped off the wall. 2) No A/C, so had to keep the window open, which made it really loud (and hot) trying to sleep. 3) The shower didn't drain and I was standing in a pool of clogged water with rust chunks floating around. 4) The surfaces in the room had crumbs and the whole room, itself, did not feel clean. 5) The sink didn't drain because there was chunks of tissue paper stuffed down it. The place, in general, felt pretty run-down. But what can you expect for $90/night, I guess? I will say, that the linens did feel clean. So even if the room didn't feel really clean, I felt confident that my sheets and towels were, which is the biggest deal to me.

Not a safe area!

This place smells of mildew and has mold in the hallways. There AC barely works or blasts too high in the rooms. This place is also in an area near a lot of homeless and transients so you will see them living in or around there. San Diego needs to clean this up.
