Literally close to everything which is convenient! Room was small, but CLEAN and modern and it was everything I needed for such a short stay!

The area was great. Everything was close by but the property needs to be better maintenance and the rooms are small and the AC was working OK

I love this hotel! It looks small from pictures but the rooms are spacious. The hotel team is there to help you right away. Great stay! Will be back!

Had an okay time at this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend the junior room, it was extremely small. You just get a bed (no chair) and view into another window. The walls are really thin and you can hear people in the hallways and in the rooms at all times. This was especially difficult in the mornings. Check out time is earlier than most hotels, at 10 am and they wouldn’t accommodate an earlier check in. Seemed like there was always some kind of construction going on too. Our room often had a ladder next to it going into the ceiling opening. Not a pleasant experience.

Cool cozy spot definitely will be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Neon Elm, I was hesitant prior to booking as I was unsure how it would be to now have staff 24/7, however, the team was very responsive over instant message communications. I felt safe in the building at outside. The room was nice, as pictured, clean and spacious. Location very central in my opinion and I would absolutely stay here again.

We couldn’t figure out parking so we juggled street parking.

Such a cute place absolutely loved our stay here! It had everything we needed and more. Staff was very attentive and helpful

No lamps to speak off, only glaring overheads. The mattress rests on a metal spring that creaks and moans, and makes an ungodly racket. The pillows are also cheap and stiff.

If you were looking to go to San Diego, this is the place to be. Its right in the center of all the amazing activities and very, very extraordinary. Will definitely be returning for another trip !!!

This was by far the best hotel stay I've had in San Diego! Everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be. The rooms were private. The staff was very friendly and respectful of our privacy. The place is BEAUTIFUL! Very well maintained. Also There's a lot of fun stuff to do in the outside area and for what turned out to be quite an amazing price! Can't wait to stay again!

On arrival, I was shown to a room literally in the lobby. Every guest arriving and departing, every conversation taking place in the public area was deeply distracting. There was also no work station as I had been led to believe would be available. One hour after checking in, I notified the desk attendant that the room would not meet my needs and asked if they could offer another room that wasn't in the lobby. They were sold out and I said I would make a reservation elsewhere. Was told that was no problem and my reservation would be canceled. That did not happen despite multiple emails through the app, contacting Expedia customer service was similarly ineffective. The hotel put the full charge on my credit card despite these issues and my having to pack up and move to another property. A huge inconvenience and disappointing customer service. Cannot recommend. The room was only slightly larger than the bed. Very disappointing experience.

    Excellent stay

The room is pretty small but it has all the things you may need, parking is a little hard but the hotel has many options for it and if you are lucky you can find street parking. The location is great, the staff was friendly, I really recommend it for small trips.

We stayed the weekend. For the price and amenities I would recommend. Especially if you’re just staying the weekend.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

It was a beautiful hotel! Super comfortable, with amenities no other hotel room has provided in my experience! It was like a mini apartment it had utensils, bowls, plates, cups, and even a little dish soap to wash! The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because it was super hot and unfortunately you can’t control the temperature in the room so it was a bit uncomfortable, but if they kept the rooms at a cooler temperature this would be a 5/5 hotel!

Great overall, room was a bit smaller than what I expected and from what the pictures showed. But great overall

Booked an Elite Studio Suite and was very disappointed with the size of the room. From pictures of that room type, it was advertised as a larger size room. It was very tight and crowded for my girlfriend and I to move around. The bed occupied 90% of the floor space. Overall the room was clean but definitely felt like we stayed in a walk in closet rather than a room.

No issues at all, super clean, convenient location. Solid booking if you’re looking for a home base during travel for business or a special event.
