Reviews
-
The room had no outlets at bedside for your phone, which is shocking in this day & age.
-
Took early check in fees from us even though rooms were available which is not a regular practice in other hotels, otherwise all good, great location too!

Staff great

The staff was excellent; front desk, breakfast and room staff. The room at the top with the bay view was incredible. With membership we were able to upgrade. Very convenient to all of the downtown amenities. Would recommend without hesitation.

It was a very friendly atmosphere and I felt very much like I was at home because I’m a San Diego resident

Beds were dirty carpet nasty dirty awful experience at this hotel will never be back.

Room was clean, ac worked. The only thing is the parking. Besides it being $45 a night sometimes your driving around in circles literally lol till you find something.

This was NOT worth the price. Our room was dirty. Like hair in the bathroom and food crumbs all over the floor. Parking was both expensive and unacceptable. There was not appropriate signs or directions. The garage was over sold and someone parked behind us and blocked us into an already too small spot. 0/10. The restaurant did not have a single pasta option. Which in little italy seemed insane to me.

Clean and helpful staff.

Parking very expensive
-
Clean, friendly staff, east walking to Little Italy restaurants and cafes

Rooms were not bad but not great as showcased.

The hotel itself is lovely - nice rooms with comfortable beds and well maintained property. I have mixed feelings about the location - excellent proximity to many main attractions with easy walking distances to the USS Midway, downtown and Little Italy as well as super easy access to the freeways, but the immediate surrounding area is pretty run down and perhaps a little sketchy. The pool is average and parking can be a bit tight when the hotel is full. Staff was extremely welcoming, helpful and kind. Would definitely stay again if the price was right.

Rude staff and property is old and rundown

When arrived I was assigned to a room for disabled people, even if I didn’t asked it. The room had a very noisy air conditioning system … probably broken, as when I tried to turn it off it kept going and make an horrible noise. I asked to change the room and the receptionist first didn’t want to change the room saying they were fully booked and then assigned another one after I pointed out that the room was for disabled while I booked a normal room. When I entered the room… horror … beds where not done … room was a disaster … I went back showing photos… and only at the third tentative I received a room which was sort of ok. The room was facing the highway thus still noisy, but ok… still manageable. Cleanliness was a bit missing everywhere… I tried to copy either that but definitely very bad experience.

This is my second time at the Dextro and I loved it even more. From Aria at the front desk to the staff upstairs being so friendly, I always enjoy staying at the Dextro. As a major Little Italy fan, I love walking to it. It’s easy to get a ride as well due to its proximity to the highway. And a beautiful view after sunset. Don’t let it confuse you though, you can’t really hear the city noise. Definitely making it my to go place next time in San Diego! Thank you Dextro!

Everything is okay but parking can be a little tricky
