A great stay and wonderful staff.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Exceptional

The staff was efficient. The hotel charged me fees (more than $40) and the valet parking was so expensive ($75). The closer parking was two blocks from the hotel to carry all my baggage from there and anyway I was told than it was more than $30.

Room wasn’t ready when we checked in, so we went to the bar to get a drink and stood there for 10 mins and no one even asked if we wanted anything so ended up leaving. Overall was a fine experience with the room but nothing crazy.

She thanked me for my status as a Bonvoy/Marriott member and explained the restaurant/pool/bar/gym availability at the hotel. Room was perfectly clean with no complaints at all. We took an uber from the airport so we did not use the parking that was offered. We also did not use the restaurant. Overall I’d stay here again on future travel to the area.

Lobby decor First room smelled like smoke. Second room had not hot water in sink. Had to park offsite and it was expensive.

The hotel is well maintained. Clean

The room was clean, roomy (Corner Room), large well lit bathroom with glass shower, big bath tub, and clean amenities with an assortment of toiletries, big comfy bed with sofa, desk and chair. The receptionists working the front desk throughout the weekend were very friendly and answered all of my questions that I had. The on-site restaurant food and service were excellent - I dined late in the evening when arriving from my train ride and the mornings before headed toward the convention - and the food was great! My only suggestion would be if dinner hours could be extended into the later evening. Those event weekends - especially Comicon - pack all of the local restaurants and wait times can get crazy. It would be awesome knowing I could get a bite to eat even in the late evening after a action packed day. Overall - Hotel Republic will be my go to next time I am in San Diego!

Great place to stay

Great staff, great location for Comicon, I was very impressed with my stay!

This upscale modern hotel provides great value alongside quality amenities. The fitness area is well maintained, and two onsite restaurants offer a broad range of dishes. Its central location sits near Gas Lamp, Little Italy, and Balboa Park. The rooms were clean and well kept.

Unfortunately- this first feel like an Autograph hotel. This hotel could just as easily be in Detroit. There is no identity. I remember when it was ace and designed as a San Diego hotel. You knew where you were. This hotel now needs some TLC and an identity associated with its location

This is our go to hotel when in San Diego. The property is clean and well kept. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is great and walkable from many attractions. We’ll keep coming back.

They charged fees on top of booking.com rate. This was not disclosed beforehand.

The rooms were not Upto date. The shower was already clogged when we arrived. Overall, it was an ok room.

Only bummer was the parking.

PET FEE is so expensive ( i toke care everything)
