However, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. Our room keys were inconsistent throughout our stay, even after staff attempted to fix them. Housekeeping also came to clean our room before 9:00 a.m. each morning, which felt too early. In addition, housekeeping repeatedly left only three towels for a room with two guests. Since we each showered twice a day after long days of walking, having to call for a fourth towel every day was inconvenient. Our biggest concern was with the airport shuttle process. We arrived in the lobby at 1:00 p.m. for our scheduled 1:30 p.m. shuttle, as instructed by the luggage attendant. When the shuttle was delayed, he told us to remain in the lobby and said they would call us over when they were ready. At 1:40 p.m., we saw a van leave, and when we asked if it was our shuttle, he apologized and said they had forgotten us, suggesting we wait for the next one. It was frustrating because we had followed his instructions, yet the missed shuttle resulted from a communication breakdown. With improvements to housekeeping consistency, room key reliability, and shuttle coordination, this hotel would provide a much better guest experience.

I got different room that I booked. They do not even ask for any approval or understanding. I found some hairs on the bed and restroom.

Clean and comfortable room. Bed was heavenly! One of our favorite places to stay in DTSD. Location is great!

Room was great. I was there for work and there was plenty of space to spread out and get my stuff done.

However, our biggest issue was housekeeping, which was basically non-existent. I will not blame the housekeeping staff for this; I think the hotel is totally understaffed for housekeeping. The first day after we arrived, we got a knock on our door at 5:00 PM, asking if we needed anything. So we took the opportunity to load up on towels, water, and coffee. Sure enough, we never got a made bed, vacuumed floor, or cleaned bath area. By the time the knock on the door happened, we were too tired to complain about it, and just lived with it. But I think Westin management needs to address this issue seriously.

You can see the bay from your room. So awesome. Had trouble getting our shower on took 45 minutes to get someone there. Missed our ride to airport thank heavens someone in our group was running 2 hrs late or would have missed our bus ride to the Baja.

Very nice stay for a quick weekend get away! Central location, close to the Gaslamp district, lots to do in the area. Will have to pay for self parking or valet. Great staff, good breakfast. Would recommend!

was in town for a wedding. walking distance to the bay, USS Midway and Seaport Village. Enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great, location, staff, accessibility. Everything is 15-20min walking distance. Parking i believe it was $65 for vallet parking ? I parked across the street and it was $30 overnight. The room windows were really dirty from the outside, impairing a really nice view of SD. Every time we flushed the toilet an alarm went off in the bathroom? I don't know what that was about. Other than that, great stay

My room wasn’t ready until around 10:40 PM. When I finally checked in, the room had a very strong marijuana odor, and there was loud noise from a room across the hallway. My wife and I couldn’t tolerate the smell and both developed headaches. We were exhausted and unable to get the rest we needed. After waiting even longer, the hotel moved us to a different room, but it was a downgrade from what we reserved. We lost the bay view and were given a room with a bathtub instead of the shower that came with our original booking. The staff was courteous and eventually moved us, but the delays, room condition, and downgrade significantly impacted our stay. This experience fell well below what I expect from a Westin property. I hope the hotel will make this right through appropriate compensation and improve how these situations are handled in the future.

The air conditioner did not work, they sent am engineer but he said it was working. The pool and gym is too small for the size of the hotel.

The property was beautiful and clean. I felt very welcomed.

Everything was great we just wish we had a microwave inside the room

1) A 5-8 minute walk from the Amtrak Station. I didn't want to drive in traffic to S.D. and thus took the 3+ hour Amtrak. 2) Friendly check in and was also able to check in early as the Amtrak train arrived around 2 hours before check in time. 3) Nice large room that was clean. 4) First night stay was quiet. Cons: 1) Food inconsistencies as what's on the hanging card on the door if one wants breakfast in one's room the following day and what's on the in-room menu and what's offered on the menu in the actual restaurant. I had one in-room breakfast food meal and today had one in the restaurant. 2) Food-Abysmal-I need not say more. 3) AirCon-Stopped working at night. Thank goodness I brought my portable desktop fan with me and turned it on. 4) Lights in bathroom way too bright. Try going to the bathroom at night, One will be shock awakened. 5) Phone either didn't always work or line was busy. I had a meal in my room the first day, but when I came back after 6PM, the dishes were still there. I had tried to call to get them removed before I left my room. 6) Second night. Nightmare. Exhausted. Fell asleep into a nap, and around 7:20 PM was awakened by the VERY loud barking of a dog in the next room along with loud talking of a couple. That went on and off until I checked out today. No use in dialing zero today since I was checking out. $600+ to arrive home more exhausted than when I had left. And that was my first vacation in six years, along with my birthday trip.

Nice hotel right in the center of things to do. Really nice room with a little bit of water in our view.

The room was just okay. I expected more based on previous stays at a different Westin property. I will not be staying at this location again.
