The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The first room we were in, the tub was disgusting (thank God for shower shoes). Every time we flushed the toilet, I thought the entire toilet was going to shatter. It scared my 5 year old daughter as loud as it was. We changed rooms because our key was not letting us in, even after a reset at the front desk. When we got to the second room, the tub was just as dirty. 4/10 for cleanliness. The bar staff was rude and did not acknowledge us once without us speaking first and asking for service. Highly disappointed for this to be a “Westin”

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location. It’s nice that they offer access to activities (I think it’s part of their wellness efforts).

Great place to be. Valet people are great. Overall staff are great. Hotel is well maintained, happy with our stay. 5⭐️

My wife and I got bites from laying in the bed at the hotel. The door was hard to close to our room, had to slam it shut everytime we left our room. The staff was great though!

I would say the worst thing was the valet. Took almost 15 minutes to get car every time you left and one time it took us almost 30 minutes. We almost missed our dinner reservations It was very unorganized. It was also very expensive. $60 a day for valet.

Clean room

Breakfast at Bronze Bird was delicious! However, when it came to the cleanliness of our room, I was a bit disappointed at how dirty the room was. Definitely expected more from a name like the Westin hotel which holds high standards. Our bathtub still had dirt residue, there was dust along the headboard of our bed and the room overall had a dated feel to it. Nothing worth raving about. Maybe next time. Also $60 but then adding more fees for valet totaling it to $90 is a bit excessive.
